In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Widget for a Daily Schedule is showing the previous dayYes, by adjusting the Cloudflare rules to not cache json files and the browser to have an expired header for json applications to zero fixed this caching issue.
The setting for 12 hours wasn’t enough, we would still see the previous day with the Daily Schedule.
Please note: we noticed this was an issue after the latest update with the Events Calendar Pro and Events Tickets Pro. Prior to that it was behaving as it should.
The guide line tells me we essentially did this of not caching the .js files and adjusting the expiration to zero. Thank you for the link – I couldn’t find the specifics other than a generalized page on caching.

We set a caching rule with Cloudflare to not cache json files. Also did an expired header for expiring json applications for zero.
This method really kills the speed of the website. Is there something that would not cache the daily schedule?

Sorry I only posted last Saturday and haven’t been able to get on until now on Monday.
I did have to add the page to exceptions for deferring javascript since it seems incompatible. Perfmatters is fairly popular plugin for speeding up websites.
At present, it doesn’t look like The Events Calendar monthly mobile view is compatible with deferring javascript.

Thanks – in looking it appears to be OpenStreet Maps providing the images? Leaflet the javascript. Thanks for the quick response.

If I could request, having that explanation on the weekly emails would be great. Better yet, emails are monthly totals as right now I’m doing it on a spreadsheet.
I’ve tried the Trends for past monthly stats but is it always a much lower number than the weekly reports indicates, also header never changes from “All Time.”

Thanks but I want reports. Just want them to be monthly totals. I’ll fill out a support ticket but the feature request goes straight to the WordPress support forum. ??

In reply to: [WP Popups - WordPress Popup builder] TinyMCE conflict with 2.0.3.7I updated the plugin back to 2.0.3.7 because the staging site didn’t go down after testing it with the latest version of WP Popups Lite. After about 24 hours, the site didn’t load except bare html so back to the issue.
Sorry we don’t have error logs to show, they are frequently refreshed at WP Engine. The site is on WP Engine and we did have to completely take down the CDN (new zone) to force all new files.
So I hope that is the issue. We recently switched to 7.4, that might also be an issue. Unfortunately when testing, it takes more than 24 hours for it to fail. I may have to deactivate the plugin.

I actually wrote to support about the topic and got the usual “third party plugin” response but persisted since this is a popular plugin and alerted them this was being discussed on Facebook Groups.

In reply to: [Lazy Load for Videos] No thumbnails, no embed playI had the a similar issue although the page is just using a Gutenberg YouTube block with GeneratePress. The video displayed after a 56% padding at the top so a huge amount of white space, once you clicked “play” the video disappeared and only played sound.

In reply to: [Plugin Detective - Troubleshooting Conflicts] Widgets disappearedI tried reactivating the plugin and going through the process and it didn’t return the widget areas.
It identified the Plugin Detector as the culprit. It was deactivated and then deleted. No joy on that. If the plugin stripped the widgets, it doesn’t appear to let go of the test so they will return.

Do I have to activate again the plugin so I can close the case so the info is restored? I don’t believe all of the widgets use plugins but it is a heavy widgeted front page and it did strip them unless a user account holder manually moved things. There were 3 people logged in so I don’t have a way of knowing if the Plugin Detector did this or someone was working on the widgets.
Thank you for responding. As to premium, I would kindly suggest not making alignment one of them and removing justify as an option. Designers usually refrain from “justify” as not being strong enough yet for web design and not approved by the UX community as yet because it decreases readability (the sea of white spaces issue). It has a ways to go. I’ll ask my client about purchasing the plugin.
