I rolled back just after I found the issues. Thanks, 1.8 works well.

I’m not able to re-install right now, I’ll wait until you’re certain the bugs are out before I do. This disables my front page appearance(mansfieldfinefurniture.com)which I can’t do for the moment. (I’m working on getting a development site operational, but not being an expert, struggled with installing a local environment)

I’ve also been looking for precisely the same thing (and similarly, precisely NOT those things you’ve listed, of which there seem to be a multitude available). So far, i’ve not found it, but would love to hear if and when it comes into existence. Waiting eagerly (I, on the otherhand, do not have the capability to write it myself!)

Ditto. So far I’ve been able to add WP to Twitter and WP to Facebook, where blog posts are announced and linked to automatically when I create or update a post on my blog. How do I do the same to my G+ stream?

For me it turned out to be a plugin conflict, in my case WP HTTP Compression. Someone mentioned issues with Gzip compression…not sufficiently knowledgeable to say what/why, but removing this plugin solved it!!

also tried deleting browser cache (and other browsers)to no avail. also tried using the Clear browser cache function in nexgengallery menu
Still nothing. It doesn’t seem to be an image issue, since the “assign album cover image” function (image list?) doesn’t seem to be working. (If I understand caching at all…)

same problem here. worked prior to latest update, (but I also re uploaded all of my images smaller, which I thought was the problem, but when I went to assign an album cover image, it shows this.

The “pinwheel” just spins endlessly, never drops a menu…can’t seem to find a way around it to assign cover images to this page

Hoping @alex.Rabe or another expert is paying attention to this one, need it to work soon or I have to go to a different plugin

Since nobody has commented here in several months, I guess it was resolved, but for me adding the swf into uploads didn’t do it, but I found in another post the shortcode:
[nggallery id=#yourgalleryidnumberhere# slideshow] which I used in place of the wordpress generated one I got when I used the ‘insert NG gallery slideshow’ [slideshow id=####] #### is the id…you get the idea.
After this, it worked. But a painful 12 hours of searching for a solution that should have been made clear and easy by the plugin maker
