In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Where are my files?Hi Jessie,
In your Existing backups can you see the backups with the buttons for database, plugins, etc.?
When you click on these buttons the option to download the content will be presented to you.
Best regards,
NickHi there,
We’re not permitted to provide support to paid service customers on the WordPress forum.
Could you please submit a support ticket request here: https://updraftplus.com/support/
Best regards,
NickHi Andi,
Thank you. Can you explain to me in more detail please?
Restoring a single specific page isn’t currently supported.
Best regards,
NickHi Norman,
That’s no problem at all.
I’m glad you fixed things. If you can provide a short description of what was wrong it’s helpful.
That way users experiencing a similar issue may be able to benefit from the solution you found.
Best regards,
NickHi Mark,
My colleague’s suggestion of an alternative remote store is a helpful temporary solution.
We’re currently looking at the issue and have identified the likely cause of the problem.
Once we’re certain I’ll provide you with an updated version of the plugin for Google Drive.
WP Rentals appear to have an interesting approach to supporting their paying customers.
Best regards,
NickHi Glenn,
That the plugin works normally on the laptop is an indication that the plugin is not at fault.
It’s very difficult to be specific about the cause of the problem on the PC as we lack access.
Are you using any network security tools on the PC which are not present on your laptop?

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] will not complete setupHi there,
Apologies for the delay. Have you identified the cause of the problem?
Best regards,
NickHi there,
With the previous plugin installation the entries should have been automatically removed.
If the backups failed for any reason this may have resulted in entries not being cleared up.
Without the plugin being installed it’s difficult to see how new entries could be generated.
Is it possible these entries were imported with the data which was migrated to the new site?
Best regards,
NickHi Andi,
Thank you very much, we really aim to do our best.
The reason I suggest you enable the zip module is described in an article here:
https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-are-my-backups-slow/
Basically, you may well see a PclZip warning message in your backup log files.
The backups will still run but could be significantly slower without the module.
Thanks again for the compliment, much appreciated!
Best regards,
NickHi Andi,
It seems the WordPress session timeout was coincidental during the restore then.
The messages relate to optional PHP modules which are not activated / installed.
On some hosting you can activate these in cPanel, or you can ask hosting to do it.
I’d advise you to fix this as the zip module will help make your backups run faster.
Best regards,
NickHi Andi,
Thank you for the additional information.
Was ‘The session has ended’ message a WordPress session ended notification perhaps?
The reason I ask is after a backup restore with a database the message normally appears.
When the database component is restored it overwrites the previous existing database.
This means a user has to login again using the credentials from the source restored site.
Did the restore itself complete successfully in as much as does the site display correctly?
Best regards,
NickHi there,
After checking with a colleague I found more information in our FAQ which may help you:
https://updraftplus.com/faqs/asked-ftp-details-upon-restorationmigration-updates/#general
Best regards,
NickHi there,
Have you tested the FTP credentials directly through an FTP client to confirm they’re correct?
You should confirm the FTP credentials and methods are correct with your hosting provider.
This would be my first suggestion. If you still have continuing difficulties please let me know.
Best regards,
NickHi Andi,
Could you please provide the restore log file using PasteBin or a similar service?
It can contain useful information which provides more insight on the issue cause.
Best regards,
NickHi Mark,
Thank you very much, I’m sorry it took a little while to identify the specific problem.
Looking at the logs it’s pretty clear, the first one is fine; no errors or warnings at all.
I would have to suggest you contact WP Rentals, they would need to investigate this.
They should be pleased you spotted the issue and will be able to identify the cause.
I’m not familiar with the theme so it’s better to leave it to their developers who are.
The issue is not a clear one where I can recommend a simple fix I know would work.
Best regards,
Nick
