You should click the blue button ‘Delete old folders’ and then continue with the restore.
The plugin is informing you of files left over from a previous restore which need deleting.

By ‘where does the free version update to’ do you mean where does it upload the backups to?
If this is your question the uploads are sent to storage defined in settings and/or stored locally.
The free version does not include Vault storage, you mentioned you switched to a free version.
The Premium version comes with at least 1GB depending on the subscription plan being used.

If you are certain the backup is one you wish to restore then you can proceed.
However, I would strongly recommend you make a backup before you do this.
Note the details of this backup so you can restore/roll back the site if required.

You can continue with the restoration. Here is some background on utf8mb3:
The utf8 character set is currently an alias for utf8mb3, but will at that point become a reference to utf8mb4. To avoid ambiguity about the meaning of utf8, consider specifying utf8mb4 explicitly for character set references instead of utf8.

Some users report no issues with Bluehost so checking with DropBox is advisable.
It does appear from analysis that some DropBox servers were subject to changes.

The server side fix has indeed proven to be the solution for many users.
That said, to identify any other possible issues can you attach a log file?
The preferred method of doing this is by using a service like PasteBin.

Unless the subdomain is part of a multisite (WordPress Network) you should treat it separately.
Which means you should also install UpdraftPlus on the subdomain to have it back up correctly.
If the subdomain is part of a multisite you would need to use our Premium plugin or the addon.
