In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Tables Are MergingHi there,
The database restore is non destructive so it will overwrite tables but not delete them.
Normally, uninstalling the plugin should remove all the accompanying database tables.
In this case you would either need a fresh install to restore to or manually delete tables.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Another folder for the backup!!Hi there,
Thank you very much, we appreciate the compliment!
I’m afraid the feature isn’t available in the free plugin version, it requires the Premium plugin.
With Premium you can add ‘Any other file/directory on your server that you wish to backup’.
Best regards,
NickHi there,
As a first step to fix this click the Delete button next to the backup entry.
Uncheck the tick box ‘Also Delete from remote storage’ and click Delete.
This should remove the backup from the list of Existing Backups shown.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Remove cron jobsHi there,
To remove the cron entry you could use the free plugin WP Crontrol.
Install the plugin and navigate to Cron Events to remove any entries.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Backup Frequency SettingsHi Chuck,
That’s no problem. Could you use the imgur service linked below for an image? The link doesn’t work for me, it’s a password protected WordPress admin page.
It’s best not to share links like that publicly, they give too much detail on sites.
This service allows you to upload a screenshot of your backup settings for me.

I’m pleased to hear of positive progress and the site is returning to how you want it – well done!

NickHi there,
I’m glad you found the files and it sounds as if you have restored them correctly.
It’s difficult for me to know what your site should look like, I have no reference.
When I view the site source I can see you are using a default WordPress theme.
To change the site appearance go to WordPress menu Appearance >> Themes
If you correctly restored the themes you should be able to select another here.
Any changes to the plugins and themes are normally instant, there is no delay.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Erreur 503 / CpanelHi there,
The log file shows your backup completed successfully with no errors.
Did you use the code fix I provided? Do you still receive the 503 errors?

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Erreur 503 / CpanelHi there,
Could you please provide the backup log file using a service like PasteBin?
This error may be resolved by adding the code below to wp-config.php.
define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_SKIP_CPANEL_QUOTA_CHECK’, true);
Best regards,
NickHi Yvette,
The reason the site looks bad is you haven’t made a complete restore as yet.
Without theme and plugin files the site just won’t look or work as you’d like.
The files aren’t hidden in folders, they will be individual files like the other files.
The files are similarly named to the files you have but state themes and plugins.
Running a backup before restore means you can get back to where you started.
Where you started may not be ideal but it is at least a function WP installation.Without the themes and plugin backup files it may be as close as you can get.
The files you currently have will not be able to replicate a previous installation.
Best regards,
NickHi Yvette,
Please don’t upload those files to PasteBin, it’s not necessary.
In the plugin Backup/Restore tab under Existing backups you will see a link ‘Upload backup files’.
Use this link to upload all your 5 files and then Restore them using the button next to these files.
However, I would point out you appear to be missing the themes and plugin files from your set.
Without these files the themes and plugins cannot be restored as I believe you want them to be.
It is a good idea to run a backup before you restore the site.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Can’t find database backupHi there,
Your available backup files should be displayed in the Backup/Restore tab under Existing backups.
If the file you are looking for is not visible you can use the links to rescan local folders and storage.
It is also a good idea to check the expected file storage location manually to confirm the file exists.
Depending on your retention rules the file may have been deleted if the retention rules dictate this.
Best regards,
Nick
