In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Cannot locate recent backupsHi there,
You’ve mentioned your machine was corrupted, did it lose the Updraft settings at the time?
It sounds like you have already checked your local wp-content/updraft folder for backups.
In the section Existing backups you could click the links for rescan local and remote folders.
If remote storage settings were not affected this should refresh the available backups stored.
If remote storage settings were affected you would need to connect the storage once again.
After that you could use the rescan remote folders option to discover any available backups.
Best regards,
NickHi there,
The two large files reported are error_log (size: 288 Mb) and updraft.zip (size: 846.9 Mb).
You should remove/delete these files if they have no known purpose you are aware of.
There are additional files which also appear in the log and could be removed/excluded.
Or, in Settings, uncheck the option for ‘Any other directories found inside wp-content’.

NickHi there,
Apologies, the message is incorrect regarding the location of the wipe settings option.
You can find the wipe settings option in Advanced Tools at bottom of left side menu.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I’ll request the message text be revised.
Best regards,
NickHi Mark,

NickHi there,
If you’re using the paid version of the plugin you should use the paid plugin support service.
Our plugin is not ‘dysfunctional rubbish’. Comments like this have no place in a polite forum.
Best regards,
NickHi Mark,
Please select the backup sets you wish to delete and then click ‘Delete’.
When the box pops up uncheck the ‘Also delete from remote storage’.
Then click ‘Delete’. This should remove the backup sets from Existing.

NickHi there,
The plugin interface does not include a bulk download select option currently.
You could achieve what you want by using (S)FTP to select and download files.

NickHi there,
The log file contains the following error messages:

0084.477 (0) Dropbox Curl error: Invalid app key (consumer key). Check your app’s configuration to make sure everything is correct. Please reauthenticate Dropbox in your settings. You may need to wipe settings as the message states.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Updraft backupsHi there,
My apologies, the free version has retention settings but not additional rules.
When you uncheck Delete local backup the rules are applied to local backups.
Meaning, only the number of backups specified in the settings will be stored.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Updraft backupsHi there,
The free version of the plugin does not offer retention rules settings, which version do you have?
If you are referring to the local storage please check your settings for deleting the local backups.
In Settings >> Expert settings >> Show expert settings >> Delete local backup: uncheck the box.
Remember to click ‘Save Changes’ if you adjust the setting. You will also need to clear the backups.
Best regards,
NickHi there,
Could you please attach the backup log file using PasteBin or a similar service?
This will help us identify the issue. You could also try the following basic steps.
Firstly, make sure you are logged in to your Dropbox account via the browser.
Next, attempt to connect to Dropbox in the UpdraftPlus storage settings section.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Will not connect to Drop BoxHi there,
Could you please confirm the Dropbox access credentials are correct.
It is also a good idea to check the browser console for error messages.
