I understand, and I see it on your site, but with no way to actually replicate it, it’s hard to figure out what to fix.

When I test the lightbox here with the photoset in Safari, it works. We’ll continue to dig in, but there have been no other reports of this so far.

Awesome!!! OK so I tried this locally in Safari with the lightbox on and it can’t get it to not work. It’s possible that it’s behaving differently from local to live, but we also haven’t had any reports of this either.

Is it possible that some plugins are interfering? Do you have any lazy loading plugins activated?

Looks like there is some type of safari issue when the lightbox is turned on, when viewing photoset. Will dig into it and fix thanks for reporting.

That doesn’t look like it was installed correctly. Can you try re-installing? Then deactivate any other plugins, clear your cache, etc. It looks like the CSS file isn’t loading on your end.

That’s completely understandable. In the mean time we’ll see if we can’t replicate some of what you have here.

Note, with Jetpack, I believe you might have to re-connect, if I remember correctly, just a heads up.

Yeah it’s a tough thing to do on a live site. Let’s start with something esaier, can you try deactivating a few plugins first? We’ll save the theme for last.

The first error you reported was from teh map file. We do not load this file, it’s used for debugging in the browser.

The second error you reported was from ase.min.js. We DO load this file, but there are no other reports of this issue across the more than 2K active installs of ASE. I”m more than certain this is related to your theme because it’s loading so many different JS files, but there’s no way to tell unless we test without it.

You only have Aesop Story Engine activated, and you’re still getting the error?

We do not directly load a file called ai-core.js.map .

The error the previous user was having is because the plugin is loading it’s own copy of jQuery. There’s really not much we can do about those that don’t properly code their plugins.

Can you try deleting ai-core.js.map from the plugin to see if this fixes things?

Aesop Story Engine is free. Lasso is not free. Aesop Story Engine’s controls are in the backend.

If you buy Lasso, Lasso makes those those controls from Aesop Story Engine appear on the front end.

Lasso allows you to edit text on the front-end of your site.

Aesop Story Engine just provides story components.

I just spent about 20 minutes trying to get this working, but unfortunately these guys are including their own copy of jQuery.

This is extremely bad practice. There’s not much we can do about this unfortunately. I tried unchecking their box in the settings, and the buttons are their, but I don’t see them due to CSS issues.

That means it has to be playing when the page load. You might have “autoplay” set to on.
