In reply to: [Rookie] disable admin bar for subscribersHi Brian,
Is this a plugin then, if anything goes wrong will I be able to reverse the installation? Will it remove the admin for subscribers? Excellent, thanks so much for the help.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Sports press user rolesThanks Roch, that may explain why I have so many issues. Just to confirm, only a user with admin role can add a match or edit one? I need to convince the club that the pro version is the way to go and need to understand all the benefits of the pro licence. Due to the ages of the teams we will not be using the league table functionality etc. If I am correct, the pro version will allow me to create users such as team manager that will then be able to look after his team details, players, matches etc without being able to mess around in the dashboard and other admin capabilities? Thanks,

In reply to: [Rookie] disable admin bar for subscribersHi Brian, thanks for the help also, please can you tell me where I need to put the code? I have not as yet edited and files, only through plugins. I have not attempted FTP access for fear of damaging my site? Can this be added to a custom CSS or something along those lines or does the actual file need editing?
Thanks again

In reply to: [Rookie] disable admin bar for subscribersHi, thanks for the reply. I have a feeling it maybe due to some other plugins conflicting. I well remove or deactivate anything to do with admin bar etc and see his I get on. I have built the site now around the rookie template which I like so hopefully can keep that as it is. If only I knew for to code a plugin, that would be great. In looking to see a comparison between the free version and pro version of sports press to see how we will benefit from pro. Is there anywhere I can see this. Thanks again.

In reply to: [Rookie] disable admin bar for subscribersHi, I dont get an error as such, it just wont remove. I have tried a lot of plugins but none seem to work. I cannot hide the admin bar. I need the site to look just like a site for subscribers and no admin bar / dashboard or even profile editing to be available. I am really struggling with this one. I have also had issues with setting user roles.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] admin barHi, I don’t get an error as such. The situation is that I have sports press installed and I am using it to control our football website. We do not at these stage find enough additional extras in the sports press pro plugin to justify spending the $99. However I do need team managers to be able to add posts, club news etc and also edit match results and reports. This, I believe is achievable with the free version. What I need to achieve is when an admin member logs in to the website they will see the admin bar will all functions. When a subscriber logs in, they do not see the admin bar at all. No profile edit, etc. Just a website as any other. The function of them registering to the site is so that they will be able to receive the newsletters we distribute and also in the future I will increase there functions so that they can contribute to a page / blog on the site. A subscriber should just be able to read the website. I have tried many combinations of plugin’s to try and achieve this but with no success. It must be something that can be done. It is probably something I am doing incorrectly. Just reaching out for any assistance I can get. I have emailed sportspress in the past but was politely told that support by email was for pro users only. Thank you for your time. Hope you can help.

In reply to: [Remove Dashboard Access] not working for me, sill access profileHi, it clicks through to the profile settings. Preferably I would rather users who are subscribers not to see the Admin bar at all. It looks rather unprofessional.
https://Www.parkwyddnjfc.uk is the website in question. Subscriber is the default user seeing upon signup.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Disable profile edit and dashboardI understand the capabilities I think, I just want to disable the admin bar for particuler user roles. There is no way it seems to want to work.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Sportspress user capabilitiesI cant seem to see the difference between club and team managers. We have a club which consists of around 8 teams. For each team we have a manager. Each manager needs to login and edit various content but without the full ability of an administrator. I have set managers to the role of team manager but when they login they have no option in the admin bar for +NEW. They do see the word ‘sportspress’ but when clicked it says they do not have the rights?
