    Thanks for your response and your work on this plugin.

    I just tried uploading a photo and I got the same error message as above.

    And I’m using WordPress 2.8.4.

    Like Paul, I have a suspicion that it’s a path problem. But I’m not a programmer either.

    The only thing I can say with much confidence is that the error message says the image is not in the wp-content directory when, in fact, it is.

    I’m unable to smush previously uploaded images. When I go into my media library and click “Smush it,” I get an error message that reads:

    C:Inetpubvhostsnowutah.comhttpdocswp-contentuploads2009?9webBYUthumb.jpg must be within the content directory (C:Inetpubvhostsnowutah.comhttpdocs/wp-content)


    Can you please suggest a way to fix this?
    I would really love to compress many of the images already in my library.
