  • All of the background color in Kubrich is based on images, even where it’s plain white. You’ll need to change the header image itself not the code. Look in the ‘images’ folder inside the theme folder for the header image.

Okay, this is NOT going to be a popular point of view with all these amazing coding experts – but go into the ‘images’ file in the Kubrick theme. If you know even a little bit about graphics you can adjust the look of the blog a little or completely re-work it without touching any code unless you want to change the fonts.

And just for fun, once you get a feel for how the images go together you can go back to look through all the themes and you’ll be able to pick out the ones that are based on Kubrick. There are some very attractive Kubrick based themes.

Before y’all jump on me, yes, I get the fact that sites based mostly on code are better and faster. And I have huge respect (not to mention jealousy) for all of you that can visualize what that gibberish is going to look like when you put it all together.

Do you mean the solid light gray behind everything? It’s done using an image rather than just calling for a background color. I think the image you want to trade out is kubrickbgcolor.jpg in the theme’s image folder.
