What would happen if I made a domain mapping, pointed it to a existing subdomain blog.. and then changed the blog id to 1 in the mysql database.

because i need the top blog to work under another domain as well..

There is no extra categories on the blogs where the posts come from! The categories on the other network blogs have the same category name and slug..

Do you mean something else?

Well.. notre.co has 47 blogs activated.. And what plugins they run is hard to know.

I have no other plugins activated on that blog.. Im running sunrise domain mapping..

Thats why im affraid of updating.. Some things may not work correctly..

The site is notre.co .. The red label on the images is the category.. The post is put in the right category, but a extra category is created with a number.. And the post is not put in the newly created category.

So i have a lot of categories with no posts in.

i’ve attached a image how my category admin page looks like.
As you can see, fashion-2 ..3 ..4 ..5

by the way, i’m running selfhosted wordpress 3.1

@ron .. Hi, I just tried the development version. It still duplicates categories.

Is there a quick fix for this? Plugin that prevents wordpress plugins from creating categories.. of make sitewide tags put all posts in the same category.. etc etc

@ron .. Can I maybe donate a sum to speed up the process? ??

@mbeasi @mbeasi .. I installed the latest version (0.4.1.1) yesterday and deleted all old categories .. The categories keeps on duplicating! ??

@jlencion .. oh.. So I have to do this everytime i want to clear out the categories..

There is no way of making this a permanent filter in the sitewide-tags.php ? Each time it copies a post to the main site it check with this filter..
