In reply to: New template with CSS – imagelessNot sure why you call this design “Imageless”. There’s a header and buttons (Search, read more, etc). That being said the colours need a little more Pop, maybe a touch in the header.

In reply to: The Human Museum Is Back…I’m using Custom Query String, Image Manager, WP Lightbox Plus, Video Pop, and WP-Fatter. A small number of plugins, but they add so much to your site.

In reply to: Textpattern vs WordPressTextpattern is very versatile, well organized, and ascetically designed. There is a learning curve as the two programs are set up quite differently structure-wise, but wordpress has many more features at the moment, so depending on what your design includes it might be a better choice in the end. Have a look at both plugin options and good luck!

Wow, what are the odds that you and Carey Hart’s design team basically came up with the same site?

In reply to: Dooce type pic of the dayCheck out pixelpost, and the plugin for making the latest thumbnail appear in WP – you can see it in action on my blog at https://thehumanmuseum.com – the thumbnail at the bottom. You can check out pixelpost here: https://www.pixelpost.org/ – it’s a very good light weight program.

In reply to: Please review my siteNice use of colour, I’m in agreement that the top nav is too busy and detracts form the rest of the design. Maybe move some of the navigation choices down to the sidebar?

In reply to: New Admin Theme – SlateI started using it the other day, had to make the font a touch bigger on the top nav bars, but it’s spiffy to say the least. Anything to spruce up the WP admin is appreciated! If only WP could have the spanky admin interface of textpattern but still retain all the flexibility of WordPress I’d be in heaven!
