In reply to: Exchanging Header on Pool or Suggestion for a Better Theme?Ok, scratch that… I’ve discovered a much more pronounced theme called “80.1” that I like. So, I am now focusing on how to get my Blogger header image into this theme, and tweak the colors to match.
Any pointers would be awesome…

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Blogger Import Not Working…No problem… at least I’m not the only one with this problem… actually I would prefer to be the only one, and be shown a solution… but so be it. I am importing each entry in manually, and fortunately I don’t have an unmanageable number of blog entries.
I hope someone solves it for others, going forward.
Thanks for the confirmation.
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.Yea, there is something going on with the source folder. How can I explain this. I originally unzipped the source files into a folder on my host titled wordpress201. I then found I had to delete the files in that folder, and reinstall them several times, since I made mistakes. However, when I ran the install.php, I was getting “Feature Disabled”.
However, if I rename the folder “wordpress201” to “wordpress”, then the install.php worked.
STRANGE!

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.TAAA DAA!!! It works! I wiped once again… deleted the db, deleted all files, deleted my local copy, redownloaded the source, re configured the config file, re setup the db, etc… AND this time I uploaded to my server with a new folder name… not sure if that had anything to do with it, but hey, the install worked, and my LINKS section works!
Now to test the blogger import.
Cheers everyone…

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.I am NOT on one of Doteasy’s free servers. I have TONS of PHP scripts installed on my server with MySQL backends.
Surely, someone understand why the install.php would output “Feature disabled.”… and therefore, how to get around it.
I already got the install to work half way through this thread, everything worked great but the LINKS section of the ADMIN.

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.Good times… I wiped everything, followed the instructions EXACTLY, and I now get the following response when I hit the install.php:
Feature disabled.

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.Perhaps the failed install hosed my DB, and I need to start all over, wiping the DB as well. I’ll try that next.

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.Wait, yes you’re right.. I must haved edited the config a few days ago… still confused, however, why when I click on LINKS in the Admin, I get this error:
XML error: Invalid document end at line 1

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.Ok, that made a huge difference. I appear to be installed now, however, it NEVER asked me for my database name, password… so I’m suspicious where the posts are getting stored.
AND when I click on LINKS in the Admin, I get this error:
XML error: Invalid document end at line 1
I feel so close to getting a functional install here.

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.I’m not sure what the OS is, to be honest.. but the host is https://www.doteasy.com

In reply to: Run The Install, returns blank page.I’ve never had to do “username_” prefix on any other php installs.
What the hell is wrong with this software? You can’t even install it!
