In reply to: Changes not reflected until I log out of control panelWhat I meant to say is I have “Don’t cache pages for logged in users” unchecked. So I guess I need to check this if I don’t want cached while logged in. I use Firefox.

In reply to: Images in Text widget not displayingThanks Lisa. I had to look up what relative and absolute links mean, but I think I did it relative, as I did not insert the entire specific path. Should I be doing it absolute? The odd thing though is that it’s working on my front page.

In reply to: Moving WordPress to a new Server on the same HostHelp!!! My host transferred all my files to a new server. I was given a new Cpanel login. Because everything was moved between Cpanel with all the programs and files, I didn’t think I needed to do anything except for minor changes I made in WordPress in the short time between the transfer and when I actually changed my DNS. Now that the DNS seems to have propagated, my front page is not coming up. My host is telling me that I need to rename my index.html file, but I use one of the WordPress page as my front (index) page, I don’t even use index.html in the root. So what do I need to do to get my front page back up?

In reply to: WP Super Cache Install ProblemsWell, still more challenge. It’s telling me to edit .htaccess under my wordpress directory, but I don’t have this file. Do I need to create it?

In reply to: Creating a different Sidebar for different pagesThanks guys, Tarski had an option I was able to do this without editing files. I really need to learn WordPress.. if anybody knows a good tutorial source on basics and theme customization, please let me know! Codex isn’t always user friendly.

In reply to: Creating a different Sidebar for different pagesThanks, I read that Codex page but it didn’t solve. I understand about calling different sidebars. The problem was I didn’t know which file called for the sidebar, as I don’t see the page files in my theme directory. All I have it index.php. Can I post the content of index.php and someone can tell me what I need to do?
As for your second option, I’m guessing that makes the sidebar to call for which sidebar depending on the page. The problem is I don’t know how to call for those pages.

In reply to: Moving WordPress to a new host, same domainThank you.. I was trying to figure out backing up my current site and restoring it to my new host, but I’ll ask them if they can transfer it for me.

In reply to: Moving WordPress to a new host, same domainYes my old host had Cpanl as well. So.. theoretically, I only need to change the name servers and everything will move? Don’t I still need to install WordPress on my new host?
