If you had any idea the real world financial value of your “free” wordpress application, nevermind what it would have been a few years ago, perhaps you would be a little more humble.

If you want real pain, I can recommend any number of other ugly blog or CMS packages … WordPress remains head above all others as flexible, easy to use, elegant and attractive. If WordPress was a woman, she would be headlining in her own action movies and been married off to a millionaire a long time before I found her.

To be honest, the type of responses or questions you are asking quite honesty betray a significant lack of basic understanding. I am guessing your are self-taught? You might not know it but you have been seduced by how easy it actually is into believing you are more able than you are.

I would agree with the others, unless you can accept the pain of learning, you would be better off with a managed package where you can forget the tech and just do your lobbying, something like https://www.ning.com to which you can add your own domain name. Or you can pick up paid tech help from $10 an hour upwards …

Its not worth your hours, just make a good business decision and get your dollars out of your pocket. Pay someone to do the grunt work.

Its fairly easy to fake up a fairly look alike header (which is what I did as a work around), it would require both HTML and CSS and it is not going to be exact (depending on your template/theme).

It still would not work the same (for a number of reasons) nor as well as being able to embed WordPress into the real thing.

Its not so easy to impossible to have all the stuff like the search bar to work.

WP-United was a good way to go but seems to have died. I hope WP + BBpress comes of age one day.

Here, here … I agree. I am struggling to with Internationalising a bilingual website.

It should be built into the core. Some plugins work quite well in ordinary posts or pages but fall apart when other plugsin are added.

Hi. This is feedback to myself and a bump.

I discovered at last;

Particles, a WordPress theme from Devlounge. Its looks pretty good. I cant find it in the repository here but there is a link, here.

I do not know if anyone has played around with it but I can only make it show 10 posts, the demo has many more.

There is a support topic but it has been closed now.

Does anyone know how to make it show more?

Hi. I have just been hit badly by these retards too … boy, I really would like to chop the mouse fingers off this sick people.

One question, I thought it was comment spam even after apply reCaptcha and Akismet (which has been wonderful) but I have just realised that this is new and trackback spam.

I know the phpmyadmin command to switch off all comments retrospectively … is there a similar command for switching off trackback?

Unfortunately, the developer has been missing in action for sometime, it is presumed the project is dead.

It can work wonderfully … but try it out in beta mode until you are sure first … NOT straight into production.
