Hi Dustin,
Thank you for your advice – I tried your suggestion, but I don’t think it’s going to work out.I’m not using the shop page itself, and there will be more than one route to checkout, so I was planning to change the text to (something with the meaning of) “Please return to where you were using the browser back button or the menu links”.
The pages are still in testing and some will be behind a member login, so I can’t really provide a specifc link, so here is an explanation… The website is https://www.salisburymusicalsociety.org.uk
1. Members are able to order music scores when they are logged in. They will be signposted to a product or category page, depending on how many are available at any one time.
2. Members will be able to make a subscription payment when they are logged in – this will be available for a time window annually. Payment will be using a straight-forward single product, rather than setting up a subscription method in WooCommerce (as this fits in with existing accounting methods and will not be the main route for subscriptions). Members will be signposted to a single product.
3. Public users and logged in members will be able to purchase tickets using another plugin which is bridged to WooCommerce. There will be event pages where users can select tickets (which are individual WooCommerce products) which are then brought into the WC basket and checkout process.
As you can see, I cannot send people to a single useful place. I tried using the home page, but that impacted on the homepage template.
Many thanks,
Alex@iamnorthwind I hope you find a good solution. I haven’t tried it, and have no idea what conflicts might occur with UM, but I have spotted a ‘Groups’ plugin that reads like it might suit. It’s easy to find via Google…

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Plugin Links in WP back-end don’t workMany thanks for the heads-up and suggestions.
Apologies for getting your hopes up – this was “resolved” from a support perspective in that they cannot do any more other than make the extension as it is not current functionality.
As a work around I created a “combined” user type:
Group A – Regular members, require access to specific member content
Group B – VIPs who donate and have access to different specific content
Group C – VIPs who are also regular members and require access to both content areas.
This means that for Group A content, permissions are granted to Groups A and C. For Group B content, permissions are granted for Groups B and C.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Plugin Links in WP back-end don’t workHi,
Thanks for the suggestions – I have tried everything except for recompiling the PHP which is currently at version 7.1. I am not aware that there would have been any changes between it working and not working though.I have not had any success. Are there particular PHP extensions that are required?
Many thanks,

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Plugin Links in WP back-end don’t workI am having a similar issue. Cannot make changes to events/add events, and cannot access settings as settings page is blank.
Everything is as up to date as possible (WP, PHP, Timely plugin), other than several other plugins which need to be updated.
It was working and I am not aware of anything significant having changed in the system.
I’m on a self-installed instance of WP on a shared server with GoDaddy. I have plenty of server resources available.

Hi @ultimatemembersupport,
Thanks for letting us know.@bcorlett I know that it is possible to use a different plugin to enable multiple roles to be allocated to users in WP – in the user page the roles become check boxes instead of a dropdown.
But it would be good to do it all through Ultimate Member and to know that this approach would work.
