How secure does that service look? Are they asking you for passwords and emails to connect WP and Tumblr?
I’m a little paranoid of web services that deal exclusively in collecting my login information. Plugins for wordpress are fine. I can see the code if need be. I’m weary of trusting someone in San Francisco I don’t know with access to my WP and Tumblr accounts.

In reply to: [Tumblrize] [Plugin: Tumblrize] Rejecting Tumblr login credentialsYeah I just looked through the code. It’s using Tumblr’s v1 API for sure. It is also using at least one deprecated WordPress function as well.
The big change between v1 and v2 of the API is that Tumblr now wants OAuth authentication. That and it’s formatted the API calls differently.
The code is well documented but my experience level with PHP is low and I’ve never used OAuth. It’d take me a few weeks to get it working I’m pretty sure (not that I really even have the time). Plus I’m a little fuzzy on if it means every install needs to authenticate with Tumblr, or if it is a one time deal.
Are the original devs out there, or someone else more familiar with working with OAuth in PHP?
That is what I am worried about. I’ve only gotten SFC to repost once, manually days ago and now it won’t post automatically or manually at all, giving me a Facebook popup saying try again latter. I don’t know if this is a related bug or not.
I’m not aware of what mu-plugins are, however I deactivated all my plugins, and switched to Twenty Eleven, and the visual editor is still not correctly moving to the next line when pressing enter at the end of a hyperlink.
So seriously nobody else is getting this problem on a clean install of 3.2? Now I am worried. What’s the next step?

In reply to: All re-blogging has stoppedOkay an update. I apparently missed deactivating LiveJournal Crossposter because I just re-tested deactivating it and my blog is now re-posting to Twitter and Tumblr fine.
