Here’s a quick update on the plugins. Once I knew I had the ability to deactive them safely, I tried turning on each of the plugins individually to see if I could blame one for my troubles.

Each one returns this warning and then the header error returns for urls that don’t contain the WWW.

“The plugin generated 2 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”

The byline part got me thinking and this was indeed something I could alter in the atahualpa theme. Thanks for putting up with my reasoning while I worked on the problem!

If anyone else has this problem (and is using altahualpa) I went into the bfa_post_parts.php

and removed

“(is_home() AND $bfa_ata[‘excerpts_home’] == “Full Posts”) O”

from the pagination section. Nothing has broken yet…

Or, if it’s easier, I’d be happy to move the “Pages 1|2” up to the byline area.
