I have read through that post but still not getting anywhere.

1. I don’t drops a large image (or movie object) into a post.
2. I edit the code using text-editor, no cut and paste from a Word Processor.
3. My site is 100% valid XHTML.

Any suggestions?

One more thing.

I want to put small div box at the front page, just on the top of the first post. That div box will contain some message such as “hi. welcome to my home page. my name is bla. bla. bla.”

Then, what should I do?

I have make it sure that I didn’t have 2 copies of the plugin.

Anyway, I have just deactivate and delete the plugin, re-upload WP 2.03 files, re-upload the plugin, enter my API, and then activate it.

Voilla. Problem solved. Akismet running very well now.

Yes. I have downloaded the latest upgrade version.

FYI, when I run 2.0.2, both WP and Akismet were running very well.

Wahgnube, I definitely agree with you. I’ve just encouraged people to make their own choices. It’s very easy to enable/disable those links on the sidebar, as well as the top navigation links.
