In reply to: [Ultimate Wordpress Auction Plugin] Buy now function did not work.Hello @kuerbii,
Thank you for reaching out. We’ve reviewed your inquiry regarding purchasing the auction through PayPal. If you’d like to buy the auction item instantly without waiting for it to expire automatically, simply click the “Buy It Now” button to proceed.Could you please let us know how you’ve been managing the auction process? Have you successfully completed the payment via PayPal? It would be helpful if you could record a video demonstrating the steps you’re following and share it with us. This will help us better understand the issue, and we’ll be able to assist you more effectively.
Additionally, the Ultimate Auction: Pro plugin does provide the option to purchase products instantly. This plugin has been developed based on Woocommerce and offers several enhanced features compared to the free version. It also provides more payment method options. You can explore the Pro plugin demo on our website.
We recommend submitting any further questions through this contact form, as it will allow us to respond quickly and address any queries related to the Pro plugin more efficiently.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Hi @nkudev878
Thank you for reaching out! The delay in bid updates could be due to several factors, including:- High server load or low site performance
- Server limitations or insufficient resources
- Conflicts with other installed plugins
- A heavy or poorly optimized theme
I have tested the plugin on my server, and the bid placement is instant without any delay. This suggests that the issue might be related to your server or website setup.
To investigate further, I recommend testing with a fresh user account. If possible, please create a test user and share the login credentials with us so we can check the issue directly.
Let me know how you’d like to proceed, and I’d be happy to assist you further!

Hello @stephanmichiel,
Thank you for reaching out with your question about setting limits for sellers in the product creation process. The seller functionality is not included in the free version of the auction plugin. It appears that you’re using the Pro version of the auction plugin. To assist you further, we would need more details, such as the specific plugin you’re using for the seller, the version of the auction plugin, etc.
We recommend submitting your query through this contact form. So, we can investigate and provide a solution. Please note, this forum is intended only for inquiries related to the free version of the plugin.
Thank You
Hello @peter8nss,
1)?We will review the issues you’ve mentioned, address them, and include the fixes in the next release of the auction plugin.-> “Reserve price has been met” message is displayed without any bids being placed, when the opening price and reserve price are the same.
-> The customer message for cash payment method does not appear in the email sent to the customer after winning the auction.
-> The description field is empty in both the admin and bidder emails.
-> Notices such as “New Layout” or the “PRO banner” are not removed after closing them.2) Thank you for your insightful suggestion and for taking the time to suggest improvements related to caching and database queries. We will review your proposal with our team, and if feasible, we will work on incorporating this logic into future updates of the auction plugin.
3) Thank you for sharing your custom requirement regarding the addition of options in the auction settings to choose between the nickname or display name for the bid history table. We currently have several tasks in our queue and will prioritize this feature accordingly.
We value your suggestion and would like to inform you that, as a general policy, plugin customizations are offered on a paid basis. We understand that you may have additional customization needs. If you wish to proceed with this feature, please contact us through this form. We will review your request and discuss the next steps with you.
We truly appreciate your efforts. It seems that you are quite interested in enhancing the auction functionality on your site. Please note that the free version of the plugin offers a limited set of features, and while improvements can be made, they may not fully meet your expectations regarding auction functionality. If you are serious about adding and implementing a more comprehensive auction solution on your site, we recommend considering our Ultimate Auction: Pro plugin. We encourage you to review its features and test the demo, as it offers more advanced functionality compared to the free version.
We have addressed all the points raised in this query and are closing the other related threads to keep all queries consolidated in one conversation.
Thank YouHi there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We’ve reviewed the issue with the private message feature and can confirm that it’s also occurring on our end. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
When an email fails to send properly, it shows an undefined error message.
As a temporary workaround, you can disable the private message tab from the auction settings. Please see the screenshot URL below for guidance.
Rest assured, we are actively working on a solution and will release an updated version of the plugin once it’s fixed.
Thank you for your patience.
Hi @rm84,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We’ve investigated the issue with the wdm_auction_listing shortcode and can confirm that it’s happening on our end as well. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
This issue arises when the shortcode [wdm_auction_listing] is used multiple times on the same page. For pagination, we’ve implemented the auction_pagination() function. However, when the same shortcode is added more than once, it calls the function multiple times, resulting in the error message: “Cannot redeclare auction_pagination()“.
As a temporary solution, we recommend creating two separate pages: one for live auctions and another for expired auctions. Then, use the shortcode accordingly on each page.
We are actively working on resolving this and will release an updated version of the plugin once the issue is fixed.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Hello @majordoit,
We have reviewed your query. Based on our understanding, you are referring to a functionality where clicking on the bidder’s name would display their email address under the “Manage Auctions -> Live Auctions” menu. This feature used to work in the past but is currently not functioning.
Could you please confirm if you are asking about this functionality in relation to the Ultimate WordPress Auction Plugin? We kindly request that you review the video below to clarify.
Video: https://we.tl/t-YigvyAmtxU
If you are referring to the functionality shown in the video, please be informed that it is not currently working in the latest version of the auction plugin. However, we are aware of this issue, and we plan to address it in the upcoming release of the plugin.
If your query is different or if you have any further concerns, we recommend that you provide more details, including screenshots or a video, so that we can better understand and assist you.
Thank You
Apologies for the delay in response.
I understand that you need a hook that triggers after a successful bid placement. Below is the action hook you can use for this purpose:
add_action('ultimate_woocommerce_auction_place_bid');
This should allow you to implement a sitewide notification once a bid is placed.
Let me know if you need any further assistance!
Thank You

We noticed your post and also noticed that you are using “Auctions for WooCommerce” plugin. This plugin is not ours but since this post was related to auction, it popped us a notification and if you would like us to check & help you then please send us your query here.
It seems that the “Auctions for WooCommerce” plugin team is not willing to help.

Thank YouHello @lbackstrom,
Thank you for your question. You are absolutely correct that using a Redis object cache can sometimes lead to issues with dynamic, real-time elements of an auction, such as product prices, countdown timers, and bid updates. These features require instantaneous updates to ensure accurate data is displayed at all times. To avoid these issues entirely, we recommend disabling Redis object caching for all woocommerce pages like shop page, auction shortcode pages, product detail page, category page, cart page, checkout page etc. It includes auction-related pages. If your Redis setup supports it, you can also configure cache exclusions specifically for these woocommerce pages, rather than disabling Redis across your entire site.
If there is no option to exclude specific pages from caching, you will need to disable caching entirely on your site.
Thank YouHello @lbackstrom,
The Ultimate Auction for Woocommerce plugin works with it. However we do not recommend a cache plugin for users relying on auction functionality.
The plugin depends on real-time updates for auction elements such as product prices, countdown timers, and bid data. These updates must occur instantly to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the auction system.
Cache plugins can interfere with this real-time functionality by optimizing or caching dynamic auction components, such as JavaScript for timers. For example, if a caching plugin optimizes or caches the auction timer, it may cause the timer to malfunction, leading to discrepancies. This is just one of many potential issues that could arise.
To ensure the best performance and seamless operation of the Ultimate Auction for WooCommerce plugin, we strongly recommend avoiding the use of cache plugins. The plugin is specifically designed to function optimally without caching.
AWS CloudFront can work with an auction-based WordPress site. Auctions involve dynamic and time-sensitive content, so your setup should balance performance (caching) with real-time responsiveness.
Thank You
