how did you change the admin password. I am having the same problem. I had someone build the site for me which makes them the sites admin. I log in with a username and password and have limited access to plug-ins that have been added. On the dashboard i can write, comment, add media, links, pages. I also have access to the polls but not to things like the subscribe2, which is something I need access too because I cannot see who’s subscribing to my site.

any help is appreciated on how I can get total access to my site.

I am having the same issue. I did not code or design my site therefore I was not registered as the site admin. When I log in I have limited access to the plug-ins that have been added. The person who designed it will not give me permissions or access. If there a way for me to become site admin so I can have total access to my site?
