    Thanks for your response. I originally got Bizway from www.remarpro.com but I don’t think this issue has anything to do with the theme. Recent posts is a standard WP widget after all.

    I’m referring to the Recent Posts widget. Is there some way to make it such that the Posts listed are filtered (by category) so that depending on what page you are on, only posts from specific categories are listed?

    I searched for plugins, but didn’t fond any.

    Or do I need to make custome page templates?

    I am using the Bizway Pro theme.

    This was the response I got from InkThemes:

    Hello,

    Since we have limited resources so it is difficult for us to provide support to free users and also for the free theme.
    It is the company policy to provide the support only for the Pro themes.

    It works now that the site is associated with it’s proper domain name and not in previewdns mode. Thanks!

    I just bought the theme, and with the paid version there is not that problem. I will post in their support forum (available to me now that I’ve paid, and see what they say.

    Actually, it turns out doesn’t have to do with that CSS code. Just having a child theme at all results in the upload button not working.

    OK, I’ve figured out the source of the problem, but it doesn’t make sense.

    In the Bizway theme’s style.css, is this style:

    .header-container{
    background-color:#f9f9f9;
    }

    I created a child theme, simply to change the background color. THis is mt child theme’s style.css:

    /*

    Theme Name: Child of Bizway
    Description: Modifies Bizway footer, header background color
    Author: Nina Lauderdale
    Version: 1.0.0
    Template: bizway

    */

    @import url(‘../bizway/style.css’);

    .header-container{
    background-color:#006699;
    }

    Any thoughts on why this would result in the file upload button not working?

    Ok, I’ve learned from the GoDaddy support forums that this appears to be caused by a problem with their previewdns.com system for sites that are in development.

    Yes, sorry. I found out about that forum after posting here.

    Here’s the debug info. I’ve tried all 4 items.

    Jetpack Debugging Center
    Testing your site’s compatibily with Jetpack…

    There seems to be a problem with your site’s ability to communicate with Jetpack!

    It looks like your site can not communicate properly with Jetpack.
    Trouble with Jetpack?

    It may be caused by one of these issues, which you can diagnose yourself:

    A known issue. Some themes and plugins have known conflicts with Jetpack – check the list. (You can also browse the Jetpack support pages or Jetpack support forum to see if others have experienced and solved the problem.)
    An incompatible plugin. Find out by disabling all plugins except Jetpack. If the problem persists, it’s not a plugin issue. If the problem is solved, turn your plugins on one by one until the problem pops up again – there’s the culprit! Let us know, and we’ll try to help.
    A theme conflict. If your problem isn’t known or caused by a plugin, try activating Twenty Twelve (the default WordPress theme). If this solves the problem, something in your theme is probably broken – let the theme’s author know.
    A problem with your XMLRPC file. Load your XMLRPC file. It should say “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.” on a line by itself.
    – If it’s not by itself, a theme or plugin is displaying extra characters. Try steps 2 and 3.
    – If you get a 404 message, contact your web host. Their security may block XMLRPC.
