Where can I read about the features of wp 2.8 ?

Even I have a similar problem. I have an image with caption at the start of every post and YARPP’s output looks pretty bad in such a case. Pls do something about it.

Even I am looking for the solution to this problem. I guess there shud be an option to allow certain files (like jpeg gif etc) for contributors. If I have a writer whose job is to submit an article then I would expect a complete article with images. I can’t make him an author as it has a risk of article getting published without approval and proof reading.

Or the other way is if I have an option to restrict authors to publish content.

Any solution please???

I guess “fold page” uses javascript and that is not search engine friendly. There must be a code to do that.

Yeah I read that, thanks. Now only if I could manipulate parent and child relationship.

I need something like this – suppose you are visiting Parent page B (or any of its subpage)

Parent A
subpages not visible
Parent B
subpage 1 (visible)
subpage 2 (visible) and so on

In short subpages of only one parent should be visible at a time and that should be the one user is visiting.

Thanks, I understand the difference between posts and pages. The only thing is I need some static pages to write about the different category of product lines we have and posts (that are time based) will talk about the latest technological advancements etc. in those product lines.

So, the static pages for products have to be there in the sidebar with proper categories always.

I don’t know how to display pages in categories (for pages only).

I think wordpress does not have this thing inbuilt. Though I feel it would be a great feature so that wordpress can be used as CMS cum blog.

tiscover, I see show/hide kitchen sink icon in visual editor mode.
When the kitchen sink is showing, there is a button insert/edit embedded media. Clicking that gives you an option to embed video from the media library. Just copy the link of the uploaded video (you get this from the media library or when you upload a video), paste this link in File/URL field and hit insert.

No, what I meant was, like in wp 2.3 and earlier, we had option to click and drag the boxes and arrange them as we wanted, why is it gone in WP 2.5 ?

Does anyone know if its possible to rearrange the boxes on write page ?

In WP 2.5 there is a button to upload photo, video, music etc. Once you upload video it asks you if you want to link to file , post or none. I cud not find any documentation regarding embedding videos from our own server in our posts.

Where is the documentation regarding this ?
