Actually, This feature is available in the pro version of this plugin.
ex: if you order 3 products where you have 2 pre-order products.
so in the email invoice, customers can see the preorder date below those 2 pre-order items ??

to prevent the status changed to ‘completed’ from ‘preorder’ you can use this filter hook ‘change_order_status_on_preorder_date’ . or you can buy the pro version.in the pro version, you’ll find an option into the setting panel to set the order status when the pre-order date will be reached.
example: you want ‘on-hold’ status when the preorder date reached. so you just need to select that from the options dropdown ??

here are the answers below:
1) right now the customer will get an email regular email that contains the order details. (not mention that is a preordered). but from my account tab custom able to see that the order has a [Pre Ordered] status.
2) Right now it’s not sending email but, we may add this option in a future release.
3) Sorry, the customer must need to complete the payment before order preorder items.
