I tried to download that file and it keeps saying invalid file. I’m at a total loss!

I’m such a newbie at this – so apologies in advance.

I have the new 2.5 version of WP and when I click on ‘media’ to upload an image, I browse my pc, find the image, click upload and then I get the message ‘specified file failed upload test’.

I’m at a complete loss. I have no plug-ins at all.

Where do I go from here? I can’t do anything until I can get an image into a post and I have only seen this prob mentioned in one other place (unless it’s been worded in a far techier way).

I have IE7 – if that’s relevant. I have got my host to wipe the first upload off and I’ve tried to reinstall it again but the same problem is persisting.

I know that you’ve all got far better things to do that talk a fool like me through what to do next but I would really, really appreciate some help. I’ve been looking all day for a solution and I’m on the verge of cracking…..I don’t know what else to do!

Can I also just add that these images are in my media library – but there seems no way to get them to appear in the post.

I know most of you are all advanced but I just don’t know where else to go to find out this info.
