Did you ever get this to work? I want to start using this plugin with Thesis and I just saw your post.

I just wanted to explain why I need to change the robots.txt.

I received the following email from Google Adsense:

We noticed that our AdSense crawler is having difficulty crawling some parts of your site on https://www.xn--8dbbahx1a6dh.co.il. Because of this, your AdSense ads are less targeted and are generating less revenue on average. Specifically, we detected 97 failed crawl requests over a four day period earlier this month, which are caused by an issue within your robots.txt file. This file is blocking certain sections of your site that have AdSense code already on them from the AdSense crawler.

Fortunately, you can fix this issue today by editing your robots.txt file and giving our AdSense ad crawler the ability to view the pages of your site with AdSense ad code on them. To do this, find your robots.txt file, located at https://www.xn--8dbbahx1a6dh.co.il/robots.txt and add the following two lines at the very top:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:

I should only have 2 columns but it keeps showing 3 even though I have emptied all caches.

BTW, I think that would be a great option to add to the plugin for others too since I think it has SEO benefits to have the text link before the image link since Google takes the first link.

I just tried the code and the warnings are gone on this site but on the other site https://www.rewardcharts4kids.com/free-teacher-resources/ (to which I added the code too) it seems like there are now even more warnings.

I just wanted to add that in this case the code only occurs in the admin screens but on other sites it appears on the actual site. For example on https://www.rewardcharts4kids.com/free-teacher-resources/
This is just one example.

BTW, if I used a subdirectory instead of a subdomain will this be easier?

It sounds very complicated. Maybe RSS will be easier.

This was caused by the permalinks plugin.

Thanks very much for the update. It did not include the current post which is great but it did not solve the problem of missing images from the gallery. Those 2 posts still appear as empty boxes.

It did break something though. I got a big warning on the page and on the backend. The whole theme was distorted so I reinstalled the older version but I have copied the warnings that I got.

The shortcode on the parent page is:
[autonav display=”posts, table, thumb” postid=”category:403″ count=30]
On the child pages (post) the images were uploaded using WP and are shown as a gallery. I used the “add an image” function from that post so the images are attached to that post.
The shorcode is:
[gallery link="file" columns="2"]
There are 2 ways to upload images to a post (browser/flash). Could the chosen method make a difference?

For example on this post
https://www.yetzira.com/?????-????.html
the last 2 posts in the list link to posts with a gallery in them. They both have a few images in the gallery but there is no image.

Another question – is there a way to exclude the current post? For example, the 3rd last post is the current page which also appears as no image since it only has the shortcode on it.

I use WordPress’s media library. The post in question has a few images attached via WordPress’s media library.

Unfortunately I got excited too soon!
It still isn’t working. I moved my site back to the old host just so that I can use the plugin since I rely on it so much but it still doesn’t work.

I am using the following shortcode:
[autonav display=”posts, table, thumb” postid=”category:65″ count=60]

The source images are there and the uploads directories have proper write permission.

Could you please let me know why it isn’t working?
