Well, mark this issue as resolved but really it is not, at least not from my point of view. You ask me to contact Loco Translate support, but Loco Translate works perfectly well. The problem is more how GiveWP handles Polylang, seeing from the many threads of discussion about these issues.

Anyways, I complemented my workaround #3 with this commande in wp-config.php

define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_TRANSLATION’, false );

so now it is stable and stays in English. Fortunately this is not an issue for me regarding the rest of the website.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this.

I changed the .htaccess in wp-admin , wp-content and wp-includes to the standard code that you advise . I cannot change the “main” .htaccess, the one under httpdocs, as soon as I reload a page it gets overwritten with:

I still have issues. In the page https://navireargo.org/en/support-navire-argo/ , when someone is finished filling up the support form, Form maker is supposed to redirect to the anchor: https://navireargo.org/en/support-navire-argo/#thank-you

Instead I get a ‘critical error’ message.

I cannot edit the main .htaccess of the website, it is constantly overwritten.

Could this be linked to your plug-in?

Would be so kind to let me know what would be the correct content and permission of the main .htaccess and the ones in wp-admin , wp-content and wp-includes so I can try tracking down this error?

Ah ah – I had the exact same issue yesterday on navireargo.org .

.htaccess of wp-admin was such: (and I couldn’t access admin pages)

Ok, i did that.

on a iphone there is a large gap under the carrousel, not on an Android.

I removed the thumbnails images, otherwise the gap was between the carrousel and the thumbnails.

Sorry for the delay. I can’t give you an URL because the website is not completely finished and not on-line publicly yet, but I confirm that with these settings, I am getting a gap between the carrousel and the following element, when browsing on a mobile phone.

If I place my finger in that gap, I get a horizontal magnifying window in the middle of the image, that follows the position of my finger.

So it is not only with the thumbnails when I use them, it is a large gap before the next element in the page.

Just to let you know: I went ‘Pro’ , because the quality of your plug-in made me want to elaborate other searches, and the problem I had with my specific search overlapping with the main search is gone.

So now of course, I have the same problem as in the beginning, because this is a different plug-in altogether, and probably the same kind of fix is needed.

But that’s ok – I know that the solution will be coming…

Is there a way to disable that?

I toggled the “try to replace the search theme” in Basics to off of course.

But maybe this is a limitation of the free version?
