if you change the name of a page, don’t chage the url (under the page title).
Otherwise you’ll have to change the hyperlinks in your pages.

What is the location of an image shown in your browser, is it the old location or the new location?
To know what’s the location of an image, right click on that image and choose to open the image in a new tab or browser window. You can see the location in the url bar.
If the images have the old location, then you have to change that to the new location. A possible solution is to run an update query in MySQL (that’s how I should try to do it).

Can’t you just copy the content of the blog posts to the pages? I just think this will be the easiest solution…

Can’t you contact the server administrators (or hosting company)?

It looks like your .htaccess file doesn’t do the job. I compared it with one of my htaccess files, and everything looks fine.
I don’t have enough knowledge of Debian servers. If you see the .htaccess file in the www folder of your server, then I think you have to look at the configuration options of your server. But again, I don’t have enough knowledge of that.
