In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Add to Home ScreenHi @gheeyong
Thanks for using progressive WordPress and the kind words :).
Since version 11.3 iOS now supports parts of the progressive web app technology. That means you can install it, but iOS does not have a built in install banner.
You need to go to the page settings (the little box-with-arrow-up button) and then “Add to homescreen”.The second issue is a bit more complicated. The Serviceworker somehow can’t be installed. I need to check that later.

In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Offline page not shown upHi gagandeep,
First of all thanks for using progressive WordPress!
I looked at your site and it seems there are multiple things broken. For example there is a layerslider shortcode on the frontpage.
Also each time I go to https://www.lookholic.com/, I’m redirected to https://www.lookholic.com/?v=1ee0bf89c5d1.Looking at your console there is a JS-error inside your bundle (which I think causes some trouble) and at the end the serviceworker can’t be installed because some of the resources you want to cache do not exist. And I think that’s because of the “version string” (?v=1ee0bf89c5d1) your adding to your pages.

Did you already set an App Title, Short title, etc and did you save those settings?

In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] 2 problems.Hi NetPolice
First of all, thank you for using progressive WordPress!
1. No unfortunately thats not possible. The user has to confirm that the browser has the right to send push notifications. There is no way around. Also you migt have seen some bad examples where the browser-request pops up right when the page is loaded. There are numerous reasons why this is a very bad idea. And thats why this plugin comes with a push notification button. But as you might have seen there are numerous ways to a) style the button the way you want or b) create your own button using the built in api.
2. Thats hard to tell. What version of php are you using? And what is the exact logged error (not only the error code 500)? For both you might have to check with the hoster.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Error ActivatingHi,
I’m glad that solved your problem. I think I’ll need to update the required php Version to 5.6 to avoid such problems. Thanks for the hint!

In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Notification button (bell) no longer clickableI’m very happy to hear it’s working again.
And I’m really sorry for the error in version 1.1.0!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Notification button (bell) no longer clickableHi Steve
I just checked your sites. https://edinburgh.bankhousecatering.co.uk/ works for me.
The other still have the old JS code in the autoptimize bundle.
Do you might need to flush the autoptimize bundle as well?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Notification button (bell) no longer clickableHi Steve
Yes, there has been a problem with Version 1.1.0.
But it should already be fixed with Version 1.1.1. Could you update the plugin and clear all caches?Kind regards,

In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Features RequestHi Geoffrey
Always great to get feedback like yours! I really appreciate this!
I added both sizes to the generated manifest icons. It will ship with version 1.1.0.Actually you are already able to edit the manifest.json. As explained here, you are able to completely customize the whole json with a simple filter.
Kind regards,
NicoHi Sarang
Thank you for using my plugin! I’m gald you like it :D!

In reply to: [Progressive WordPress (PWA)] Error on SW installationHi Geoffrey
Thanks for using Progressive WordPress!
The first error is not coming from Progressive WP but from the JS File from Contact Form 7.
Then you are right, there was a error registering the serviceworker, which created the second error as well. And thats strange because when I visit your site everything works as expected.
Could you open the ?Chrome dev Tools -> Application -> Service Workers? and unregister all registered serviceworkers, then reload the page. Do you still have those Errors?Kind regards,
Nico
