xc08401 – I had a similar problem where deleting didn’t work. Only thing that worked for me was to rename the folders “wp-content”, “wp-admin” and “wp-includes”. I also did a post on it at my site here: https://nickriebe.com/cant-delete-wordpress-folders-to-re-install/
