Cristian, thanks for response, and Happy New Year!
I have in fact reverted back to using the shortcode, and have downloaded some more high res PayPal buttons. I just wanted to use the buttons that come with the pricing table, as it looked far better aesthetically, but the issue was causing me to lose business. I guess it’s far better for customers to see the PayPal logo and click that for peace of mind.
It was 100% breaking the buttons once someone actually purchased an account through it. Clicking the button alone would not break it, but as long as they went all the way and made the purchase, that would then cause the button to break.
I don’t use any cache plugins that I am aware of.
But, like I said, I have reverted back now, and everything is working great. So can’t really do much testing.
Cristián, I have an update.
I believe that the links in the buttons are breaking after someone purchases an account using that button. Which is why our 1 month (most popular package) keeps breaking daily, and the more expensive options do not.Just noticed this as someone has just purchased a 3 month account, and when we checked the buttons, that is the only one that is no longer working.
So everything works fine, until someone purchases an account via that button, then it stops working, and states the error message.
Thanks for reply Cristián,
Yes, I use the s2 Shortcode, I paste it into a page, change the ‘output’ to “url” and publish. On another browser I have that page loaded up, refresh and copy the link. It all works fine at first for about a week, then they start breaking. I have about 8 payment options, and usually about half will break. I must say over the past week, only 1 has broken, my 1st package, monthly subscription.
This is the shortcode I am using:[s2Member-PayPal-Button level=”1″ ccaps=”wordpresss” desc=”Gold MP3 Membership / description and pricing details here.” ps=”paypal” lc=”” cc=”USD” dg=”0″ ns=”1″ custom=”staticcityremix.com” ta=”0″ tp=”0″ tt=”D” ra=”22.49″ rp=”1″ rt=”M” rr=”1″ rrt=”” rra=”1″ image=”default” output=”url” /]
I enabled logging a couple weeks ago. Got the issue to happen last night, and it produced no new logs. I checked everything.
s2 payment encryption is set to on under PayPal options, and have also enabled in my PayPal account to block all non encrypted payments.
This is happening to me, only encryption was already turned on.
I had converted my shortcodes into links so i could add them to my own buttons. When creating a new link, I would add it to my site, everything would work fine for around a week, then gradually the buttons I added would stop working, and would get the same error message.
Thanks for your reply. I thought as much, but just thought I’d check.
