Hi @nextend_ramona
I’ve uploaded the videos on to one of my websites. Feel free to look and download them as well, as I don’t want to use up my monthly bandwidth allocation by leaving them up for too long ??Hi @nextend_ramona
I’ve gone to the link you’ve sent and referenced this post, however I did not see anywhere to upload the videos. Please advise further.
Kind regards,
NickYes the scroll-to-top icon has changed as well but this is not what I am referring to. It’s specifically the scrolling behavior on the page with the slider enabled (homepage), and clicking the scroll to top button shows this issue very plainly. The odd scrolling behavior is still occurring with regular-style scrolling on the homepage.
When I disable the Smart Slider plugin the scrolling behavior returns to normal on the homepage as I mentioned before, which leads me to believe there is a conflict related to this plugin. Ideally I’d like to avoid replacing the slider plugin as it has worked just fine until now. ??
I do not notice any odd scrolling behavior on the /contact pages of either site versions.
I did disable this scroll-to-slider setting you mentioned and cleared all caches however it seems to persist. I’ve tried it on 4 different mobile phones with up to date Android Firefox and it behaves exactly the same. Is there a place I could send you a video of this?
I’m using Firefox 76.0.1 on an Ubuntu-based Linux desktop as well as Firefox 68.8.1 on Android. I have not been able to reproduce this on Windows Firefox 76.0.1. The behavior is most evident when you click on the scroll-to-top button. It only happens on the homepage where the slider is active.
I’ve used both a mouse and a touchpad and noticed this lag.As a comparison to how it used to work with an earlier version of the plugin please see here: https://portfolio.jonz.dev/tbhrealestate
Hi Roman,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve narrowed down the problem a bit more, it seems to occur specifically on the homepage only and on Firefox browsers both desktop and mobile.
It seems that there is a conflict between the Smart Slider 3 plugin and with Firefox which is causing the odd secondary behavior in the Sydney theme’s scroll to top button.
After deactivating the Smart Slider plugin and testing the scroll to top button again, the issue did not occur in Firefox. I welcome any ideas you may have, but for the moment I will forward my question to their plugin support section.
Thank you for your help!
Kind regards,
NickDisabling the JS optimizations made the difference. It is responding normally now.
Thank you for the help!
