I’m new at this wp stuff, and forgot that step completely! As soon as you mentioned the file, I literally smacked myself in the head!

I tried a few things.. wp-configts.php, it didn’t recognize it. Finally I just made a new directory for the new blog on my drive, changed the name back to wp-config.phg, and I’m finally good to go. I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled about 6 times, but I finally got it up. Now just have to find a theme.

OK, I said that wrong..

Godaddy is the same host, but its two different accounts.

And, AHA, I had to change the config file (smacks self in head, I did put identifiable stuff there duh!). So, would I now have to make a second config file, and upload that one instead?

Ugh, so simple I feel like an idjut. LOL thank you!

I finally found it. Yes, under settings. I thought the plugin would automatically make a widget, so was looking for that. Apples and oranges. Thanks for the help!

Thanks Michael, thats what I ended up doing. I saw that on here somewhere. Am so thankful for the help here. OK, now I’m really feeling stupid, because I’d like to mark this as resolved, but don’t see an option for that. LOL

Thank you. For some reason I thought it was harder/different than wp.com’s site. I also found out that godaddy does install, I just have to do the upgrade. Then copy all the entries over. I realized that the text editor was just to change the sample config. Now I’m just having issues connecting thru filezilla. I just did it thru godaddy’s ftp. Thanks again!
