Whenever i put a writing on a page. It shows that the writing was done by admin with date. I don’t want this to show. How do i handle this???

Also, for the slider, i have having some issues making it wide.

I still feel that this theme should be able to add slider without upgrading to the pro version. Most free theme have those features embedded in it.

Existing
-my domain resides in cpanel
-I have a website presently running. the person who built it uses dreamweaver to manage it according to him.
-There is an existing database (abc) which I don’t have access to.
-There is an existing directory (/home/abc)

Future Goal
-I want to take ownership of that website using wordpress.
– I want to still retain the present website
-instead of using dreamweaver to manage the website, I want to use wordpress
-I want to have one domain and one website
for example: Domain (abc.com)
Website (abc.com)

what are the steps needed to achieve this future goal??

if I create a new directory/folder, won’t I have two website running on same domain?. The goal is to have one website and one domain name.

no, I don’t want to move the website to another domain. I want to retain the domain name. the end goal is to use wordpress to control the website. I still want to retain the contents on the website instead of starting afresh.

Before I can install wordpress, I need to fill in some sensitive parameters; like the domain name, directory, and the admin account which I don’t have yet.

The challenge I have is that I don’t have wordpress installed yet but I want to start using wordpress but still retain website contents and website url.
