I’ve also set up UpdraftPlus with Dropbox, and while the auth was performed successfully, now it’s erroring every time it attempts a backup (it’s tried 5 times already). I’m about ready to dump UpdraftPlus for another backup method; this is absurd.

In addition, creating this API auth seems to have not only screwed my internet access, generally and more specifically for Gmail (long connection times, Gmail fails to connect and/or gives me a “No Internet connection” message on first page load, only reconnects on second and/or subsequent tries), but it also seems to have screwed up another working and critical API auth for another app under a different Gmail address. Can someone PLEASE take a look at this?

I’ve updated the correct entry in the database. Note to @_dorsvenabili above: You need to edit the admin_email in the yourdatabaseprefix_options and/or entry #1
in the yourdatabaseprefix_users tables, not the wp_users table. The last is used for structuring the WP admin fields, not for storing actual user info).

Changing the options.php file isn’t working for me. I can go to the page and enter the new info, but when I try to save the changes, I get the following error:

412 Error
Your request got filtered out due to possible security issues.

One or more things in your request were suspicious (defective request header, invalid cookies, bad parameters)

If you think you did nothing wrong:

try again with a different browser
avoid any evil characters inside the request url
If you are the owner of the website, you can consider revising the rules of the mod_security module or turning it off from your Web Hosting Control Panel.

Changing permissions on the file doesn’t seem to help.

I ended up contacting the MMM developer. It does have that capability, but only with a lot of hand coding (at least in the free version).

I had to fiddle around with the mega menu padding a bit, but I think it’s looking good now on desktop. I haven’t tested it on a tablet yet, but I set the mobile breakpoint at 768px, so hopefully, I won’t have to deal with the horizontal submenu on tablets at all.

I’m not worried about the vertical placement of the submenu on desktop; I think it looks fine spanning both the header and the slider below.

The one issue left is that the mega menu submenu isn’t aligning properly with the left edge of the screen/container on mobile. The whole menu appears shifted to the right, and the right edge of the link text is running right up against the right edge of the screen. What’s the best way to shift the whole panel over on mobile only?

Hi, Tom. To be clear, I’m not using Divi; I’m using BShop, a Beaver Builder child theme. (Divi was the old site.) I can’t tell if the Divi instructions apply to Beaver Builder or not.

Unfortunately, I genuinely can’t afford to employ a developer, although I could manage the Pro version of the plugin, if that’s necessary. Would you be able to help finish this then?

Tom, I tried to add the following code to get the submenu to span the full width of the content area, but it only reaches to the right edge, not the left:

  #{$wrap} #{$menu} > li.mega-menu-megamenu > ul.mega-sub-menu {
    width: 100vw !important;
  }

What do I need to do to resolve the issues above?

Thanks, Tom! It’s getting there! I have the following additional questions:

1) How do I get the menu to span the full width of the header/content area? I notice you have the following notes:

A 100% wide panel will only ever be as wide as the menu itself. For a fixed panel width set this to a pixel value.

Advanced: Enter a jQuery selector to synchronize the width and position of the sub menu with existing page element (e.g. body, #container, .page).

2) How do I get it to clear the main header so that the top of the submenu is flush with the main header’s lower border (ditto)? and

3) How do I disable the mega menu on mobile and get it to revert back to the native hamburger/dropdown menu?

We’ve finally located the source of the problem, and it’s not what was expected. In one case (Box), the download links given for the files are not the ACTUAL download links; they’re the links to the download PAGES.

In the other case (Mega.nz), the links are to encrypted files and require a decryption key, even though I deliberately DID NOT specify encryption in the settings. But they may not work exactly like I expected. Gonna try one more thing…

Checked with server tech support. The corresponding PHP setting, max_execution_time, is set at 300, which is the maximum. So that can’t be it.

That does seem strange, especially considering that I re-set a bunch of PHP settings a while back to fix a Divi upload problem. I guess that wasn’t one of them. What would be standard/suggested in this instance?
