I am having the same problem… Complicated by the fact that crosslinks no longer appear to be supported.
I had three Coda Slider galleries within a site that used crosslinks to a menu that floats to the right of the slider div (now completely broken)… the current version seems to only support dynamic tabs at top and bottom, which will not work for me no matter what I do in the css. Looking forward to seeing if there is a solution… may have to change to a different plug in.
