In reply to: [Customify] Change Dimensions of Featured Image@ AddWeb – Thanks you for your suggestion, but I’ll go with the author’s suggestion.
@ PressMaximum – Argh…Thank you! I searched and looked and completely overlooked that. Seem like the logical place to find it.
Thank you for your theme and taking the time to respond and support it.

In reply to: [Customizr] Featured Image croppedUPDATE
1/ I have deleted the Featured Image from the pages
2/ I have disabled Pro Featured Page block from the WP customiser functionThe alternative:
1/ At the top of the page I have inserted an image that fits the 3 column width. At 540px wide the image now fits perfectly in the middle column without distortion.2/ I have also remove the Customizr Pro Featured Page block from the front page and have re-creatied that block with SiteOrigin page builder.
Issue solved.

In reply to: [Customizr] Featured Image croppedemranemranx, Thanks for your answer. I used firebug to look at the image before coming on this forum to try to work out why it wasn’t displaying like it says it should
I don’t want to customize. I simply would like it to work as described. ie featured image upload size is 570 x 350
https://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/36-image-sizes-in-the-customizr-themeI carefully size, crop and compress each image before upload. And then I find customizr doesn’t actually do what it says. And it doesn’t matter whether you use 1,2,3 columns, the image is cropped or stretched and doesn’t display as it should.
Thanks for your help
Yes I realise I I needed to customize, hence the child theme. However I’ll leave the code out and update by hand. FYI I had just purchased customizr pro, and was about to do same with with hueman. Now I guess I will rethink my decision on hueman.
Thanks!
Apologies for not getting back sooner, but I was called out away from my PC.
I am still getting different file hash names for every job run. I have a moderately busy site so I save the database hourly because of comments by guests. Until the 28/9 my file name was…
backwpup_1b889d02_(date & time varies)
Now every single file since then has a random hash eg…
backwpup_qjlprfcoy_(date & time)
backwpup_28bupmlrsy_(date & time)
backwpup_jj1rcdgxu_(date & Time)
…etcIs this to be the ‘new format?
If so, why not just do away with the automated hash and allow users to create a file name ‘hash’ that makes sense to the user,
eg
backwpup_database-bu_
backwpup_site-backup_Before the consistent hash identified a site (even if it was not obvious), but now with dozens of random hashes it cannot be attributed to a specific site.
Anyway thanks for your plugin, it is most useful.
Cheers, Dave
Thanks for getting on to this.
I first deactivated and deleted the plugin via admin on two blogs.I downloaded your beta file. I then uploaded the backwpup-master.zip file, installed and activated it. It deleted the 2 jobs that I had. And when I set about re-creating them I noticed this from the General Screen:
Backup File Creation
Archive name (is “blank” but contains this greyed out text) %Y-%m-%d_%H-%i-%s_%hash%
Note: In order for backup file tracking to work, %hash% must be included anywhere in the archive name.
Preview: 2017-10-03_22-03-33_10ash%.zip
When I saved it it does this…
Backup File Creation
Archive name %hash%
Note: In order for backup file tracking to work, %hash% must be included anywhere in the archive name.
Preview: 14luyfs16p.zip
(It’s late here and I thought you might want to see this first. I’m off to bed soon, I’ll have another shot tomorrow – if that helps, Thanks again)

In reply to: [Hueman] Header Ad Widget does not display in Firefox & Chrome@crouchingbruin, Yes, I am using an adblocker on FireFox and Chrome, and yes once I disable it the header widget area (in the admin widgets ) becomes visible.
Thanks for spotting that, I should have guessed that was the issue as the widget area in the header was being taken out by the adblocker software with the initial transition to the customizer.
It would appear there are still some issues to be sorted out with the move to the wordpress customizer as this is the first time I’ve had part of the admin area of a theme treated as an ad by adblocker software.
Thanks for the tip!

It is the same site.
Thanks for your assistance.

In reply to: [Hueman] Header Ad Widget does not display in Firefox & ChromeThanks for you’re inputs. kerdezo, maybe this may help pin down the issue.
I’ve checked Appearance >>> Customize >>> Dynamic Sidebars and widgets >>> Create and manage widget zone and they are different from IE.
In IE when I go to the customizer, I have Primary, Secondary and Header (next to logo /title) widgets
In FF When I check customizer I have Primary, Secondary, Footer 1 Footer 2 Footer 3 Footer 4 and no Header Widget.
As it turns none of these original widget areas have a way to be deleted in any of the browsers I’ve used.
I created a New Header widget area and the trash bin icon is available. And I have transferred the old widgets to it, (the new widget area is now visible in FF and chrome — the old/original ones still are not.).
It appears I’ll need to re-create all the widget areas via the customizer.
@bdbrown – Did you recreate the widget areas or did they migrate over without any issue on the theme customizer “upgrade”?
Question?
How do I now delete the old widget areas that don’t have the trash bin? That is, he widget areas that must have been carried over from the pre customizer ‘upgrade’. (I have mentioned in another post I really don’t like the customizer and this isn’t helping ??
I deactivated the child theme and re-activated the Hueman Theme but with no luck, the trash bins didn’t appear.
Thoughts?

In reply to: [Hueman] Expand Plugin to Restore Original Theme Options PageHi bdbrown, thanks for getting back. That’s a pity as I really dislike the customizer, and I thought the cryout option was a clever way to go. I guess that’s the way it is. Thanks again.

In reply to: [Hueman] Header Ad Widget does not display in Firefox & ChromeHi Denzel, thanks for the reply.
I have been using Cloudflare, and cleared the cache.
I had all ready cleared caches in browsers (as a general rule I clear my browsers automatically after each session) but I did so again.
Unfortunately the issue remains.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Hueman] Header Ad not showing with adblockerThanks bdbrown, yes there appears to be a clue quoted below. As suggested it might be useful if the theme developer removed any reference to ‘Ads” from the code, as mentioned below by dkvadratu.
I seem to recall it mentioned somewhere ad blockers look for code with words such as ads or advertisements and also ads of common size. In this case ad blockers are simply blocking the entire widget.(thanks also dkvadrau)Would it be possible for developers to modify the code as suggested below??
I had issue with header ads widget. Problem was AdBlocker plugin in browser.
Issue fixed: in themes header.php file changed ONLY DIV element ID from header-ads to header-widget, because AdBlock reads ID’s and disables it.
Also changed #header-ads to #header-widget in style files(used Notepad++ to find):
\assets\front\css\main-not-responsive.css
\assets\front\css\main-not-responsive.min.css
\assets\front\css\main.css
\assets\front\css\main.min.cssAlso I did the same with footer-ads.
Theme creators should avoid words like ‘AD’.
