I dont see the relation to the above, but that link is a little over my head.

Other things to note is.. Unlike other posts that I’ve seen where they get the blank post.php page, my post does NOT get published. If I let the draft autosave, it autosaves fine, with the complete text. As a workaround sometimes I am able to post a shorter version of the text. The edit the post, and update will work.. Sometimes update also fails as above.

Another work around is to post a short version. (I need to post to get facebook links) then quick edit to draft. Then edit and insert the text and allow it to autosave the draft.. Then quick edit and put it back to published..

Anyhow.. Would be nice to solve the issue..

SOLUTION:

I was having the same problem. The featured item setting is a little ambiguous. I was trying to set my images using FROM URL. As far as I can tell this is NOT possible.

To set your image.. You must show set featured item (right side of the create promotion screen.. and then SET it in the dialog(this link is a little hard to find because its not always available) Can be done when uploading or from media library.. Then a new link next to the [INSERT into POST] button called ‘Use as featured image’ will show up. You hit that, and you’ll see the featured image pop up in the feature image widget box.. Now it’s set..
