the problem was visible but well hidden, it was a plugin or malicious code that added this code to the wp-config.php file:

define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true);
define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_MODS’, true);

deleting this, I was able to install and update plugins and themes again

This is very weird, I checked every table from my D.B. and everything seems to be fine, I have not found something different in the permissions for example, even and revised table by table comparing it with another D.B. I have on another website and everything seems normal.

Although some tables, I’m not quite sure what exactly they should look like, but as far as I understand it seems to be normal.

Do you know what exactly table do I have to check for this problem?

I have the same error.. I’m using 2.0.14 but I still get “Error: Internal Server Error”.. I’m using the Godaddy server. Do you know if they have some configuration that can cause this problem?
