Hey Rick,
Sorry for the frustration caused. I believe we already solved this for you via Twitter.
In any case, here’s a recent email sent to all pro users on how you can add the Send as newsletter feature back to the post editor.
Again, sorry about this.
– Lesley
No worries. Thank you!
Hey @oolism!
Great question. This made us think really hard about our product strategy and what we want to do in the future.
For right now:
You aren’t missing anything. We currently don’t offer any blocks as part of the free plan. There are many excellent free block-based form plugins out there that let you capture subscribers. Our goal for the free plugin is to let people use our main feature – sending newsletters using the block editor.
If you would like, I’m happy to give you a free 2-week trial of the pro plugin. Just use this contact form (https://newsletterglue.com/contact) and refer to this forum. And I’ll get you set up!
Best,
Lesley

Hi @semiombra,
If you clicked on the Upgrade now buttons, the discount should be automatically applied.
If that doesn’t work, you can manually add the discount code UPGRADE70
But please note that code is meant to expire today (30 April) as mentioned in the offer.
If you miss the deadline, please email me at support [at] newsletterglue.com and I will help you with a personal discount code.
Hi @semiombra,
Thanks for using our plugin and thanks for sharing the screenshot.
Could you share more details:
What steps did you take originally that sent an email that was working fine. And what steps did you take that resulted in receiving the email in your screenshot?
For example:
Originally, I opened an article, and sent a test email. And the article appeared normally in my email inbox.Later on, I sent a test email in the same way with no changes and received this email with no contents.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Newsletter Glue - Best WordPress email newsletter plugin] featured imageHi @semiombra !
Thanks for your question. Just to check, was the featured image option unchecked before or after you created the newsletter?
Once you’ve unchecked it, the changes will only take place for new newsletters you create and not previously created posts.
If you’d like to uncheck this on past posts, you can:
1. head into the post
2. scroll to the Send as newsletter section
3. Click on Edit more settings
4. Uncheck Featured image
Here’s a screenshot to show you where you can find this setting. Please let me know if this helps.
IMPORTANT
Please note that the option to add/remove featured images will be removed from the free version of the plugin as of 30 April. More information on this can be found on the Upgrade to pro tab inside our plugin settings.Whatever options you’ve chosen will be retained, you just won’t be able to edit them going forward.
Hi @retrofitter,
We have identified and fixed the issue on our end. It is caused by a small encoding bug in the newsletter API. We’ll be releasing the fix in our next update!
Many thanks for your suggestion! ??

In reply to: [Newsletter Glue - Best WordPress email newsletter plugin] Access from ZapierAh I see. Yeah, that sounds like we’d need to create a Zapier integration that allows Zapier to toggle on “Send as newsletter”.
Will look into that! It unfortunately won’t be soon though, as we’re working on a bunch of new features at the moment.

In reply to: [Newsletter Glue - Best WordPress email newsletter plugin] Access from ZapierHey @baldarab!
Very sorry for the delayed reply. So nice to hear that you love the plugin! ??
Right now we don’t have a connection with Zapier. But I can definitely look into it and will add it to the backlog.
Out of curiosity, what’s your current process? Are you writing somewhere else, connecting to Zapier which then adds the post to WordPress?
By figuring this out, maybe we can come up with a workaround that would help you!
Let me know. ??

Hi @divanbleu!
So glad to hear that we’re a great solution for you. And thank you for the information.
Right now, we work best with the Gutenberg block editor.
The simplest method for you to make our plugin work is if you have the ability to “ignore” Divi for certain posts and use the regular block editor instead.
In the future, we do plan on creating a custom post type just for newsletters in the next few of months.
Please let me know if this helps!
Lesley
Thanks @itsjustdj !
Really appreciate that. ??
Good idea to make it easy to do the onboarding again. Here’s the video you wanted to watch: https://youtu.be/0LiLb3KKarE
Hey @wn49!
Thanks for your questions.
Does the plugin require that I use the Gutenberg block editor in order to create posts? → It can also work with the classic editor. But certain key features won’t work. For example, the show/hide content block. Our pro blocks won’t work either.
If I were to install and use the Gutenberg editor to create posts going forward, would that impact the appearance of any of my existing posts and pages? → If we’re just talking about upgrading from classic to Gutenberg, you shouldn’t see any issues. However, there’s a chance you might have custom code, theme or plugin conflicts that arise when you switch. It will depend on your set up.
do you have any plans to support Elementor in the future? → Yes! We’ll be exploring this in the middle of the year. I can’t promise for sure if we will be able to, but we definitely will look into it.
Thanks so much for the kind words, @jarryd-long! You’re awesome!

In reply to: [Newsletter Glue - Best WordPress email newsletter plugin] Post PrivateThanks @boabo!
Yes, your newsletter post is the same as a blog post. So you can set it to private exactly the same way you would set your blog post to private.
Please let me know if this answers your question ??
