In reply to: thumbnail sizeAny chance someone could copy and paste the whole code after these edits have been made
I can’t get it to work, my thumbs remain the same size following these instructions.
Must be missing something or reading the instructions wrong. Grr ??

In reply to: Theme fine in IE, Fine in Firefox, Pants in Google Cachehmmm, hi all.
Unfortunately, yesterday I realised that I have the same problems when viewing the site in IE 5.5 (I was updating the site via a cyber cafe yesterday and they were kitted out with 5.5).
So, back to the drawing board with this one.
Thanks to anyone who may have any pointers ??

In reply to: Theme fine in IE, Fine in Firefox, Pants in Google CacheWell, apparently its the code google add to the top of the page which sometimes effects pages using CSS (but only in IE).
I found a decent explanation here: https://www.ilovejackdaniels.com/design/styling-google/
In the meantime I’m using the <meta name=”robots” content=”noarchive”> to stop my site bein viewed via cache.
Feel better now ?? Thanks all for your input anyway.

In reply to: Theme fine in IE, Fine in Firefox, Pants in Google Cachesadish, thanks m8 nut Please be assured I’m not so Noobish that I don’t know that ?? I think the archive option in WP fits the purpose pretty well. Having said this, google cache IS for humans not machines…remember machines don’t have eyes ??
Anyway, I’m waiting for a response from the google geeks so lets see what they have to say

I reactivated all plugins as requested prior to the upgrade – any ideas?

In reply to: Theme fine in IE, Fine in Firefox, Pants in Google CacheThanks doodlebee, I guess that will need to be the solution.
I havn’t changed anything since google last made a visit.
It’s just strange why it appears as it does in googles cache when in the real world everything appears fine.
I think the no cache option may be the best way forward.
In the meantime I may contact the bods at google to see what they have to say.
Thanks all for your quick replies. ??

In reply to: Theme fine in IE, Fine in Firefox, Pants in Google CacheYeh I know all that however google does respect the style.css, it doesn’t ignore it and when I view the google cache using IE my site doesn’t display how it should
I update my site daily and I know from my logs that people use the cache to help them find the content if the google result is pointing to something on my homepage which has since moved into the archive.
Its just not a very good first impression (for those folks using the chache) and if the cache is the ‘snapshot’ that google take then something isn’t right.
Anyways, any further help appreciated, its probably just a </div> tag that I havn’t closed but its just where do I start looking ??

In reply to: Custom sidebar linksHey Licorne
Couldn’t you just delete the sections you don’t out of your current sidebar?
Admin > Presentation > Theme editor > Sidebar Template
