Thanks to your help, I was able to narrow it down even more. Under the Members plugin, the Ad Manager role must be allowed to “edit posts”. If this is disabled, the user cannot enter the Advanced Ads plugin.

Joachim, I would like to thank you for all of your hard work last night to get this working for me. I know you stayed up past midnight and continued emailing me until the problem was resolved. You took control of my WP dashboard and worked hard to figure out the problem. You didn’t stop until the problem was fixed. For that, I sincerely thank you for all the trouble you went through.

Now that its working and I am no longer frustrated, I’ve come to realize how much I love the Advanced Ads plugin. You can do anything with this.

Keep up the great work and thank you again. I appreciate you.

    Hi Joachim,

My first email wasn’t until 26th March. Someone from support wrote back a couple of times. I’ve been emailing once a day, but it takes several days to hear anything back… and no progress has been made.

Per the request of support on Tuesday, I sent him an invite as an admin so he can take a look. I invited him twice. Nothing has been done since.

So despite paying for a plugin that doesn’t work, I’m now on a forum looking for the public’s help to fix it because I only get 1 or 2 emails from customer service per week.

Thanks for your reply. The problem with integrating the PHP code into a WP page is that the PHP code is constantly changing.

The PHP code that is generated by my weather software is processed by software all day. I wrote the PHP code (which contains data tags) that the software imports. The software fills in the data tags with the current weather conditions and then exports the new PHP file (with the data tags filled in). The new PHP file is uploaded by FTP every so often.

Copying/pasting the PHP code would not show the current conditions — it would be a one-time thing.

Too bad WordPress doesn’t have a way I can embed a PHP file into a WP page.

Thank you, that’s actually a big help. I dug deep and found that my weather tower software will create an XML file. I have to write the XML code as an input with data tags, then the software fills in the data code and creates output XML code. I can upload that XML code via FTP.

I’m completely unfamiliar with XML code, but I guess I’m about to learn it.

So my question now is… Once I get this XML code written (hopefully today), how do I embed it into a specific page on WP? Also, if the XML code has tables in it, will that disrupt WP (thus, viewing it on desktop and/or mobile)?

Thank you in advance… You clearly know what you’re talking about and that’s a huge help for me.

Ok, I understand what you’re saying now. I’ll give it a try in the morning. Thank you – I greatly appreciate your help!

Thank you for responding. I have access to the source code for the PHP homepage. Is there something I can put in there to get a homepage ad to show from Advanced Ads??

In the ad settings, I set the specific ad > Display Conditions > General Conditions > Home Page. There must be a way thru source code to pull it out… no?

    Thanks again!

Also… No ads will display on my homepage no matter what I do. I tried changing the ad’s custom settings to display on homepage, and I also tried setting it directly to the page name. No ads, no matter the size or placement, will display on the home.
