Thank you so much for your comprehensive feedback!
I have already managed to link to WordPress.com, and now I don’t see anything at all when I reach the ‘My Jetpack’ page.
That’s not an issue for me, but it is confusing to see his WordPress username still show up in the WordPress.com stats area as an author. He never was an author or user listed in my dashboard under pages or posts, at least as far as I know and also while I worked on this issue.
He is showing up as the author for most of my pages, as a sample e.g. in December stats (also checked some in Jan), although in my .org dashboard he is neither a user nor an author of anything.
Another point: I wasn’t showing up as an author at all on WordPress.com stats until I linked my account to it last week, so at least there are some changes, although I would prefer his username not to show up at all.
Thank you again!
Update:
Seems most of the issue is now resolved, not completely though: the old developer is showing as ‘author’ in the wordpress.com stats for some posts (when he has never authored anything).
And for reasons I don’t understand, my author name has replaced his for the most part.
This change took effect somehow when I activated the Askimet with my new wordpress.com details, finally resulting in my username replacing him as primary user for Jetpack.
Hi Katrina,
I’m looking forward to installing your plugin.
My new blog runs on the latest WP version, and I’d prefer to have all my plugins installed at once.
Given your last message, and the fact I only have a few posts so far, should I wait until the new release, or install the plugin now and just update it once the new release comes out?
I’d appreciate your advice; thank you.
I could not find the answer to my query regarding whether or not to have the 2 plugins installed at the same time; I did and it worked.
After having installed SEO Data Transporter (but without installing my new SEO plugin) I checked by pressing analyse and got some results (but not ‘0’ like yours).
I pressed ‘convert’ only after installing and activating the new SEO plugin, and keeping my old SEO plugin active.
I understand from one of the topics in this support forum that you don’t need to have the old SEO plugin nor this plugin active anymore.
