It seems like a plugin conflict – perhaps with another menu plugin? Have you tried disabling other menu plugins?

Understandable, but then we need a solution so that the text doesn’t smash up to the icon for users who aren’t taking fine grain control of their CSS. We could add another span just with a space in it (which could then be hidden with CSS), but now we have another tag and conceivably some bloat.

Which bootstrap nav walker are you using? Sounds like a clash between our search & replace and the walker code.

You can control the alignment and position via CSS on the i tag and/or on the span for the text.

We’ll have to take a look at this and how it might also work with more in-depth icons (like stacking) without making it too complicated to use the plugin.

At this point, there is no way to stack icons in the menu. But we’ll put it on the “to-do” list for an update. Thanks for the suggestion!
