Hello Dimitris,
Thanks for the .htaccess rule!
I have a question when you have a moment, please.
How would I modify the rule you provided to block multiple host names.
For example, how would I block the following host names using the rule you provided?
51-159-30-87.rev.poneytelecom.eu
gwc.cluster027.hosting.ovh.net
bh-ht-14.webhostbox.net
zg-0915a-85.stretchoid.comAgain, many thanks, and have a good day!!
Hello Nithin,
Thanks for the clarification. That’s what I thought given the sentence structure, but I wanted to make sure.
Have a good one!
Hello Predrag,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Could you please clarify your response? Do you mean it should NOT have any issues with Defender, or it it should have any issues with Defender?
Thanks, and have a good day.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Two-Factor] Not Receiving Email with Authentication CodeJohn,
I could never resolve the issue of not receiving the codes by email despite having them sent to various emails addresses, so it was not an issue with the “receiving email client marking the authentication code email as spam” as Kaspars indicated. The email simply never arrived to any account, not even as spam. With that said, choose a different verification option.
As for not being able to log in to your account, if you have access to your server, go to: public_html > wp-content > Plugins, and rename the folder Two Factor (or whatever it is named to something else ). You can just add a letter to it to keep it simple when returning it to its original name. That will allow you to log in to the WP Dashboard. Once there, you can change the verification method, after returning the name of the plugin to its original name so that it works again.
If you don’t have access to your server, contact your host’s tech support and they can do it. If you don’t feel you can do it, have them do it either way. It’s really easy. It’s nothing more than changing a file name on an operating system on your computer.
Also, make a copy of the temporary, one-time-use passcodes the plugin generate just in case.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Blackhole for Bad Bots] Blocks when Tested, but Not Blocking Bad BotsHello Jeff,
My apologies. I did not know that about premium plugins. Sorry!
The identifying info above does not identify anything regarding our site. That IP and host name are what the warning page generated for the page we used in Tor. It does not link back to us. Thanks for your concern.
I’ll email you directly.
Thanks and have a good night!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Date Archives Redirecting to Homepage, not Corresponding URLHello Mazedel,
Thanks for the response.
Google’s is not the only search engine on the Internet. As I stated in my first message, “they are being crawled and indexed by search engine crawlers” (crawlers is plural). With that said, do you guys only develop your plugin to work with Google, or does it work with other search engines too?
Regarding the date archives being redirected to the home page, you really didn’t answer my question. Why are they being directed to the homepage instead of the actual page/post they are connected to? Why doesn’t Yoast follow its own guidelines regarding redirecting pages/posts to pages/posts that have nothing to do with the redirected page? If a site has dozens, if not hundreds, of date archives that are automatically created, having them all redirected to the homepage goes against what Yoast – as well as many other SEOs – about redirected irrelevant pages/posts to the homepage.
According to Yoast, pages/posts – if they are redirected using a 301 redirect – should be redirected to a page/post that has similar content, not to the homepage for convenience or out of laziness , in accordance with SEO best practices.
Even in Yoast’s free plugin, should it not adhere to the same SEO best practices it preaches?
Thanks and have a good day.
Hello John,
Why don’t you just use the plain text field or numeric field and label it whatever you want? That’s pretty much what the phone field is anyways.
You should really update your review. That you can’t figure this out is your problem, not the developers’. If you want a premium plugin, then buy one.
Hello Jeff,
Thank you very much for the reply and for going out of your way to create the video. I very much appreciate it!!
With your help, I figured out how to configure the email sent to the administrator, as well as the automated email sent to he person who submits a form, so that the From address is correct, and that if Reply is clicked, it goes to the appropriate/wanted email address.
If anyone reads this, this is a fantastic email from that is very fast, and that has lots of features that are usually only included in premium email forms. Also, the support is great!
Again, than you, Jeff.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Async JavaScript] Does Async JS Defer Parsing of Third-Party JS?Hello Frank,
Support for your free plugins is better than what I was getting from WP-Rocket ($49.00) per year! You are fantastic! Thanks!
Regarding the JS for Google’s ReCaptcha, there are 3 instances for google.com and 3 JS for gstatic.com. 2 of them for static.com are the same script (why they are repeated, I don’t know, as we only have ReCaptcha on that page one time, and one loads really slowly – 700ms+).
What I’ll do is us the Async JS option in Autoptimize in the Extras section for third-party scripts instead of using the Async JS plugin, as I was able to sufficiently optimize the JS using AO.
Thank you for al your help, Frank, and have a good day and weekend.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Async JavaScript] Does Async JS Defer Parsing of Third-Party JS?Hi Frank,
I can find only one of them: <script type=”text/javascript” src=”https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js” id=”google-recaptcha-js”></script>
Since the other JS scripts related to ReCaptcha aren’t referenced in the HTML, does that mean nothing can be done about deferring them so they are not render blocking?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Async JavaScript] Does Async JS Defer Parsing of Third-Party JS?Hello Frank,
Thank you for the quick reply and information.
How can I determine if third-party JS is linked directly in the HTML source? If it’s not, is it possible to do so? Sorry, I’m not a developer or coder.
Gotta love Google! They demand speed and security, yet it’s as if they go out of their way to make your site as slow as possible by implementing their products like ReCaptcha.
Again, many thanks, Frank!
Hello Jeroen,
Thanks for the response.
Considering this option was a last resort. As I stated in the first message, I’ve worked with the lead developer of the theme we’re using, and we were not able to pull the formatted content from the static page to the custom category template. The content pulls fine, but it it is not formatted, and the php he’s recommended has not worked.
Thanks and have a good day.
Hi Carl,
Thanks for the response.
This is what I want to do:
Replace an instance of a breadcrumbs chain that is currently occupied by a parent category with a static page (see the item in bold in the first chain). I would delete the parent category and replace it with a static page.
This is the current breadcrumbs chain:
Home >> Parent Category >> Child Category >> Post
The reason for this is that I’ve run into an issue with pulling the content from a static page onto a custom category template (in this case, the Parent Category custom template page). I can pull the content, but for some reason, I can’t get it to pull the formatting/styling from the static page. Hence, the reason for wanting/needing to use the static as the styling is a bit important.
The above chain would become:
Home >> Static Page >> Child Category >> Post
Is there a way to do this? If so, could you please explain how?
Thank you and have a good day.
Cheers!
Hello Maybellyne,
Thanks for responding.
I could not find the path: “WordPress Admin > Settings > Front page displays: Posts page.” I’m guessing it’s: Dashboard > Settings > Reading Settings > Your Homepage Displays
In Reading Settings, there’s the option “Your Homepage Displays: 1. Your Latest Posts, 2. A Static Page (Select Below). These additional two options are: 1. Home Page (choose option from drop down list), and 2. Posts Page (choose option from drop down list).
Are these the setting you were referring to? If that is the case, how do you recommend I configure the settings?
The path “WordPress Admin > Settings > Front page displays: Posts page” is not available, at least on my site.
I do not want to show posts on the the static page that I want to include the breadcrumbs chain for a certain category and the posts assigned to it.
The path would look like this: Static Page > Child Category Page > Posts. On the static page, I would Crete a photo, heading, and some paragraph text. In the photos, I would embed the URL for the child category page.
Is there a way to email you directly so I can send you the links of the static page and child category pages so you can see what I’m trying to do?
Thank you for your time and have a good day!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast Breadcrumbs – Create Exception in wp-config.php?Hello Mazedul,
Thanks for your reply.
In researching this yesterday, I discovered there indeed is a way to customize the category and post title that appears in Yoast Breadcrumbs.
In the Yoas SEO section when editing a category or post – it’s located near the bottom (Posts > Categories > Edit (Select the category you want to edit) > Yoast SEO > Advanced > Breadcrumbs Name. In the corresponding field, you can input the name you want to appear in the breadcrumbs for that specific category. It’s the same for posts. In the above patch, just change “Categories” with “Posts”.
This way, you can have descriptive SEO-optimized category and posts titles, and truncated category and post titles in breadcrumbs.
Have a good day.
Cheers!
