In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Ampersands error in itunes:subtitleI hardcoded the part for replacing the “&” out in templates/feed-podcast.php to have it right in my feed. Here’s another feed that has the same problem. Just search for
and#
to see it. ??I’ve seen it also happen in

, what could make troubleshooting a bit heavier. :-/Does it help to delete the content of the “File Size:” input field in “Podcast Episode Details” and then Update? It should take the correct file size then.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] iTunes problemsAll three items in your feed show
<itunes:duration>0:00</itunes:duration>
.iTunes really uses this parameter for playing content: When it was 0:10, it would play for 10 seconds and then stop.
Also the feed shows
<enclosure url="....mp3" length="1" ... />
(The ‘length’ is filesize in bytes. But this isn’t that tragic)To change that, go to the edit mode of an episode.
Click “Screen options” on the top right. Tick “Podcast Episode Details”. Then you can close this by clicking “Screen options”, again.
Now scroll down. Delete what is inside the “File size:” input field (the plugin should read the file size by itself and put it in). Then change the field “Duration:” to the duration of your episode (mm:ss or hh:mm:ss). Then click “Update” and it should be fine from now.
Great find, Chris. Never thought about it this way. ??
Hugh: I think a dropdown selection would be the most simple way:
Does your podcast contain explicit material?
– Don’t show Parental Advisory (default)
– Yes, show “Explicit”
– No, show “Clean”But you may also surprise us. ??

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] iTunes Explicit – CleanHey Hugh,
I installed the update and the magic already happened in my podcast on iTunes: All items are marked “Clean” now. ??
Thank you for the quick implementation.
FYI: The feed still shows “No” for unmarked
item
s. But that seems not to affect anything. When marked, it shows “Yes” and that’s perfect. ??Forum: Plugins
