This article shows how to use the crop and save correctly. In step 7 Jared points out the non-intuitive need to (1) select the region, (3) THEN click the crop button again before “Save” button will become active. Also, the selection may need to be at least the size of the thumbnail dimensions (e.g., 150×150) before this will work.

Sorry for your loss, and sorry to hear about your NextGEN Gallery problem. Developers generally need a link to the site in order to help debug an issue.

Given the short time frame, I suggest researching some other gallery plugins. Most can do a simple slideshow.

The sub sites are virtual, but you can access their admin from the Super Admin > Sites menu, then hover the cursor over the site and a menu appears, one choice is ‘Backend‘, this is the wp-admin you’re looking for.

If I understand auto-blogging, your site is generating posts across all the blogs w/o human effort and perhaps even scraping and using RSS feeds. This is going to require a much more powerful platform.

Some site designs certainly require a “fixed width display”, so try using visual effect 1 (“carousel”). It limits the width and displays paging arrows that prevent the horizontal scrollbar from showing.

What version of WordPress? This was a known issue with v2.5.1 or so. Try typing “password recovery” into the “Search www.remarpro.com” box (on this page), you’ll find several solutions.
