I uninstalled nextgen from my site, then reinstalled it. This solved the distorted images for me. Hope this works for you.

Fixed my own problem. I had to reset the Path to the Imagerotator from https://www.krystahankeememorialfund.org/wp-content/uploads/imagerotater/imagerotator.swf
to https://www.krystahankeememorialfund.org/wp-content/uploads/imagerotator.swf

Also, had to move the imagerotator.swf out of the wp-content/uploads/imagerotater folder directly to the wp-content/uploads folder.

I too upgraded to the version 1.6.2 The photo gallery shows up nicely in my wordpress page, but the (show as slideshow) link above the gallery doesn’t ‘go’ anywhere.

No need to answer – the problem was with my hosting site, they don’t allow their customers to upload a full version of WordPress to their accounts…don’t know why. Called them, they said they’d fix it…not holding out much hope for that, though. I’ve many problems with them.
