In reply to: Blog Info Showing Wrong in RSS FeedMan, you are my hero! That was where it was hiding. Such a silly thing. I also noticed that it doesn’t go away when deactivating the plugin, so you either need to go to the RSS tab of SEO or delete all of the files associated with Yoast SEO to make it stop.
Thank you so much!

In reply to: Blog Info Showing Wrong in RSS FeedNot that I know off, but I did notice that. I know Yahoo has an image optimization service, but we use WP Smush which uses WPMU DEV so it’s not that. I honestly have no idea.

In reply to: Blog Info Showing Wrong in RSS FeedOkay, tried all of that this morning. Disabled plugins, and the feed still shows an additional blurb with the excerpt of the post. Same when I switched to WP 2015. So I don’t think it is tied to plugins or themes, it is somewhere in files for the site.

In reply to: Blog Info Showing Wrong in RSS FeedI have check Customizr. The only kind of description it has is much shorter. bloginfo_rss seems to be pulling from something specifically for an RSS feed. I just don’t know where it’s getting that blurb from.

Look in the comments for steps on how to have them take users to a category. Or you can upgrade to Customizr Pro and do it quite easily.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Customizr] Change Color of Post Grids on Front PageSorry about that, here is a link to the site that actually works

In reply to: [Customizr] Wrapper Size and Responsiveness IssuesYes, you wouldn’t see the issue now. I have changed the background to one solid color, rather than having a separate color for my wrapper and background. I’ll just live with the single color. Thank you though!

In reply to: Issues With Site Load TimeMmm, yeah I get that same problem Kelsey. It started about the same time that my site started loading slowly for me and my writers. Sometimes I have to hit the link to my dashboard a few times just to get it top open.

In reply to: Issues With Site Load TimeI had a feeling that my hosting service is probably the biggest source in fluctuation. Oh well..
Anyway, thank you so much for putting my mind at ease. I truly appreciate it.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Issues With Site Load TimeOkay. Maybe I’m just being paranoid. It just always seems to load slowly for me and some of my writers. Do you know why it could possibly take so long for the site to come up? When I ran the test today without clearing the cache, it still took 20+ seconds to load for the first test. It’s just odd to me.

In reply to: Issues With Site Load TimeOkay, I understand what you are saying. But the issue is that initial visit. I highly doubt that any user is going to stick around for several seconds just waiting for page to load. I’m really just trying to figure out why that initial load time is so slow. I get that it takes a little time to cache the site, but isn’t 20+ seconds really excessive?

In reply to: Page Loads Slowly on First Page LoadAnd you can also see that my site performance score goes up the first time it is tested after emptying the caches. Every subsequent test gives scores ~20 points lower. That’s also odd.

In reply to: Page Loads Slowly on First Page LoadYeah, that’s about what I usually get. But here is the same test after just emptying the caches (which I usually do after manipulating any plugins or changing any important site settings): https://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/bsTdoY/nerdspeak.co
Now maybe I’m just being a dummy and I should stop emptying the site caches, but when I look at Google Analytics it shows that my average site load time is around 8 seconds. Since at this point in time most of my visitors are first time visitors I just assume they are getting that time.
