Sorry you’re encountering this issue. We’re still investigating this, and will do our best to get this resolved as quickly as possible!

If you go to Tools > Optimize Database, and click the “Analyze (Detail)” button, does it show revisions to be removed?

And, if so, if you click the “Optimize (Detail)” button from there (instead of the one-click optimize button in the menu), does that work properly for you?

Hi @malae,

We had another user report an issue where they’re not seeing the list of tables (with all the checkboxes) on the bottom half of the Settings > Optimize Database page. Are you able to see those?

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. Several of us on our team have been testing the plugin today at the latest version (on PHP 8.0 and 8.2 and Core 6.4.3) and haven’t seen this issue.

In 5.2 we did a lot to tighten up security — do you have any custom user permissions set on your user, by any chance? I’m wondering if maybe something is conflicting there.

Could you please try creating a new Administrator account, logging in with that, and seeing if you encounter the same problem?

Appreciate any other info you might be able to provide, and we’ll continue to dig into this!

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the latest version. I’ve just tested on WP 6.4.3 and PHP 8.0.30 (and 8.2) and both the Analyze and Optimize features worked as expected for me.

If you run “Analyze (detail)” does it display revisions that are to be deleted, but then none are deleted when you Optimize? Are you seeing any error messages? And, can you please share your current settings?

Any other info or details you can share will help us get to the bottom of this. Thanks!

I’m pleased to report that the vulnerabilities have been fixed in version 5.1.1! ??

Thanks to @cageehv, @jchristopher, the Plugins team, and Patchstack for helping us get this all sorted out. We’ve notified Patchstack and Wordfence, and expect their websites to be updated shortly.
