  • I am using WordPress 2.7.1

I have a similar issue. Only mine is that it wont let me use the link on the bottom to go to a regular version of my site. I have tried it on other peoples sites, who use the same plugin, and at first it did not work till I erased the cache. Now when I click the link on their site to view the normal version of the site, it works.

I have tried it on my site but it gives me an error. At first it gives me a 404 error, and then it allows me to accept it or to go to details, when I go to details, it takes me to a 404 version of the site as it shows in a desktop browser. If I click any link from this 404 page that renders like it would on a computer, it takes me back to the mobile version of that page. The error states that nothing is found for wp-admin options-general PHP?ak_action=reject_mobile at the address https://example.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?ak_action=reject_mobile and I have looked into it on the php file for index.php and that is on the bottom of the file – <p><a href="<?php bloginfo('wpurl'); ?>/wp-admin/options-general.php?ak_action=reject_mobile">Exit the Mobile Edition</a> (view the standard browser version).</p>

Also, I have installed recaptcha on my blog, but now it shows up in the mobile version, only issue is that it shows only the blank space, so no one can type any captcha text in there anyways, but it wont allow the comment from going through without it….

Damn it. Alright, I’ll do that and let you know in a little while.

I am having a somewhat similar issue. I have upgraded to 2.7 from 2.5.1 and I am having a bit of an issue. My site worked ok at first and then crap hit the fan somewhere. The issue I am having now is that every now and then, but very frequent (7-10 page loads) I will get an error –
Fatal error: Call to undefined method wpdb::has_cap() in /home/nemo-maritime/public_html/wp-admin/includes/schema.php on line 22
on my site. This issue only comes up on the admin side of the site. It happens very randomly, and from pretty much any area of the admin panel I am on – editing comments, writing a post, whatever. After I get this issue/ERROR the url of the site changes to – mydomainname.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F or whatever page I just came from and got to this error, and changing the page url still gives me this error, any page in the admin section. This issue first started with me getting another fatal error, the error I got previously is – `Warning: require(../wp-load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nemo-maritime/public_html/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 18

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘../wp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/nemo-maritime/public_html/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 18` and another member gave me a solution that it was the load.php that was causing this issue, so I uploaded the new load.php file and this error disappeared, but then I got the new error that is stated on top.

The thing with the site is that I have it set up on two servers, and it loads perfectly on both from the user side. The issue is the admin section. I have googled this issue and people mostly have this while they are upgrading with the plugins folder. I did try to change the plugins folder and name it to something else, but that did not do anything. The weird thing is that this issue disappears on its own after a while…. If I wait a few seconds/minutes and refresh the page, the error stops showing up and its gone for a while and it shows a “No upgrade required. Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!”. Then I’ll go back to taking care of the site and it redirects me to it again, and I have to wait for it to dissapear again by refreshing the page every few seconds. I uploaded my site by following the instructions… the only thing left for me to try is to delete everything from the servers and upload it all over again, but that is a huge pain in the ass so I thought I would look for help here first….. One weird thing that happened during upgrade is that I was not able to change the wp-config.php file, I tried and it gave me an error of Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/nemo-maritime/public_html/wp-config.php on line 56 so I left it as it was in 2.5, as I am supposed to? Anyways, leaving it fixed my issue with the error…. but now thins thing is giving me problems. I do have another site that is on the same server, and this one was upgraded from 2.6 to 2.7 and I am not having issues with that one at all…..

    Anyone have any ideas/solutions?

Dang it. Its back again…. it wont allow me to do anything after I log in…. This is what is shown in the url, if it makes it easier:

    mydomainname.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F

Its back and it wont let me get past this window.

    (@nemo-maritime)

Never mind…. it stopped showing this…. any concern I should have? The file is there and all….

    (@nemo-maritime)

    I uploaded it…. now I get a:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method wpdb::has_cap() in /home/nemo-maritime/public_html/wp-admin/includes/schema.php on line 22

when I try to get to the admin page.

That is more of what I am looking for. At this time I have the DB replication settings, but I have to upload the same files to both of the servers.

Thats what I thought…. But then there were DNS issues, and when that was fixed, one server had a messed up “pretty url”, so they copied some settings to the second server, which fixed that, but then I activated a plugin and it broke it again…. its getting frustrating. All I am looking for is to have the servers in sync which I have, but its just too much trouble…. but I do need it to work. Crap. I have searched Google, numerous times, but nothing is coming up with guides of having WordPress on different servers. I do have the databases synched up, and I thought that would be all, but no, no its not.

Any specific lists/tutorials of needed things to make it work. I have two servers I am running my site off, but its not coming out the way it should be, and I was wondering if there was a guide for accomplishing this?

Hmmmm weird things are going on. I agree with both of you, if his shows that, does his work, but then again lostdeviant is still having issues. Does the .87 update fix the issue?

I think you have that version backwards. But have you tried shortening the amount of items in the bar that shows timymce buttons, as a temp fix you could shorten the amount of options per row.

I am having the same issue. I get the option to set the buttons I want, but it will not show up in the writing panel.

Never mind, I got it. I had to use a different ftp program. The one I used did not get it off. I tried checking it with DW and it got it off. It works great. Thank you for all of the help, I would have never gotten done without it.

I put it in the main .htaccess, where wp-config resides, but I still have a small issue. It wont allow the WordPress 2.7 admin tools to use the ajax feature. So its still the same issue I have had with blocking the folders completely. It lets me log in and all (only through wp-admin, wp-login redirects to 404), but none of the drop down options work from the dashboard. Thought I’d ask since I think its supposed to work with no prob.

EDIT – it actually doesn’t look like it has anything to do with that code anymore. I have taken it out, along with any other .htaccess, but it still wont let the Ajax feature/drop down features work.
